"so how long have you known Hayes?" I asked Audrey as we walked up to her room.

"since last summer" she answered

"wow y'all are really close for only knowing each other a year" I said in amazement.

"how long you know someone doesn't determine how close you are though. I trust Hayes and that's what matters" Audrey answered.

"yeah that's true I guess"

"how long have you known Hayes?" she asked.

"about 5 days" I laughed.

"wow. why are you even staying with them anyways?"

"because my dad is in the military and hes stationed right now and I can't stay home alone. normally I wold stay with Cameron's mom but she wanted cameron to become more responsible." I answered

"what about your mom?" I knew that question was coming

"well um-" a phone call from cameron saved me.

"hello" I answered calmly. but cameron on the other hand wasn't so calm.

"thank goodness you answered!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!!" he yelled through the phone.

"chill. we're at Hayes's friends house" I answered.

"well you could've atleast left a note saying where you were going."

"I thought you weren't getting home til later" I spoke.

"we came home to change clothes. what time do you think you'll be home?" he asked me.

"um i don't know ask hayes" I replied.

"okay then. text me later" he hung up.

"wow he's really protective of you" Audrey laughed.

"yea i guess" I laughed with her

"hey do you guys want to walk up to the gas station to get candy?" Hayes barged into the room.

Audrey looked at me and I nodded my head, "sure" I said.

"okay lets to" Asher said.

"so Audrey and Kylie you guys get candy, Asher you get snacks and I'll get drinks." Hayes said.

Audrey and I walked over to the candy isle. we got some starbursts, sour patch kids, skittles, m&m's, and Reese's pieces.

we met Hayes and Asher at the checkout. Hayes got cherry cokes for everyone and Asher got Doritos, Cheetos and popcorn.

"okay where to now?" I asked.

"we should go back to your house" Asher said as he pointed at me and Hayes.

"but first-"

"LET ME TAKE A SELFIE" Hayes screamed.

"no shut up. I ways going to say but first can we go by our house so I can get a bathing suit and a charger" Andrey said.

"Yea sure" I said.

all four of us walked back to Asher and Audrey's house. they grabbed a few things and we walked back over to the house.

"hey we should go swimming!" Audrey suggested.

I honestly didn't want to because I was so insecure.

"ya we should. meet out by the pool in 5 minutes" Hayes said.

Audrey and I walked up to my room.

"you're room is so cool. I love it" she commented
