unexpected

twenty four

i slammed my bedroom door shut and collapsed onto my bed. i had nothing to say to anyone. there was nothing to say. my dad was gone.

he is dead. he is not coming back.

i physically couldn't cry anymore. there were no more tears.

i have spent the last two weeks grieving my fathers death. but for the past two weeks, everyone else lived their life. the guys finished touring and now we are all back home.

there was a knock on my door that caused me to groan.

"who is it?" i asked softly.

hayley, hayes, asher, and audrey all
popped their heads in.

"oh hi. come in" i spoke carefully. they shuffled their way into my room and crowded around my bed.

"we are going to the movies today" asher whispered.

"yea and we thought it would be a good idea for you to get out of the house. for just a little bit." audrey chimed in.

"but only if you want to. you don't have to" hayes said.

i contemplated the idea of a movie. i really didn't want to leave my bed but my dad would want me to go.

I nodded, "okay get out so I can get ready"

they all smiled and walked downstairs.

i went to the bathroom and washed my face. as i looked in the mirror i decided that i definitely needed make up so cover up the scrapes and bruises.

i slipped on a cropped navy t-shirt and some white high waisted jean shorts. i grabbed my gray high-top vans and put some money in my phone case.

"okay i'm ready" i said as slowly walked down the stairs.

"okay i gave hayes money for both of you and if you need anything just call me okay?" cameron said.

"cameron i'm fine. everything is fine just stop freaking out" i laughed.

"okay you're right i'm sorry" he backed away.

hayley came over to me and gave me a hug.

"hey how have you been?" i️ asked her and she chuckled.

"we can talk later. but-"

"eli is here. better get going" nash interrupted.

"who is eli?" I asked as I climbed into a random car along with everyone else.

"hi i'm eli!" a blonde guy who was sitting in the driver seat said.

"oh hi i'm uh"

"kylie ya I have heard a lot about you" he winked.

"okay gang we are here" eli said as he parked he car.

hayes put on a hat and some sunglasses. I guess so his "fans" wouldn't see him. what is he even famous for again?

we walked inside and hayes grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. I look up at him but he just kept talked to asher and eli. I looked over to hayley and audrey. hayley smiles but audrey was glaring at our hands.

what the hell is going on?

we walked over to the ticket line and I got my money out.

"no I got it." hayes said as he payed for the tickets.

"okay but at least let me buy the snacks" I dragged him over to the food line.

"a medium popcorn a sprite and a cherry coke please" I ordered
