unexpected

Nineteen

it was currently just me and Madison in the car. she said she was taking me out to have a girls day.

i don't know what we're gonna do but hopefully it will be fun.

we were currently in her car jamming out to the radio.

soon we pulled up to a nail salon so i assumed we were getting our nails done.

"Madison you didn't have to do this" I told her as we walked into the store.

"I know but I want to. so do you want to get acrylics or just polish? because I think I'm going to get acrylics." she smiled.

"um I don't know I've never had acrylics before." I laughed.

"really? then you have to get them! what color do you want?" she asked me.

"um white I guess since it will go with everything."

"good choice" Madison told the lady what we wanted and we were seated.

"so how long have you and jack been dating?" I asked to start a conversation.

"almost a year" she smiled.

"aw that's so cute!!"

"but you and Hayes" she smirked.

"there's nothing going on I promise" I blushed.

"yea okay I totally believe that." she joked.

"i know it was you guys in that picture. plus you got him to start hanging out with his old friends again. Nash has been trying to get him to hang out with them for a long time." she told me.

"I didn't know that. but even if hayes and i did like each other cameron wouldn't let us happen. he's way too over protective." I told her.

"I'm sure we could find a way to get cameron to let you guys. but are you going on tour?" she asked.

"yep are you?" I asked.

"yes oh my gosh this will be so fun!!" she cheered.

"ya I'm really excited" I smiled.

"so how do you like California so far?" Madison asked.

"it's good. it's really pretty but way different from Arizona though" I said.

"yea but it's really fun you'll like it. after this let's go shopping. i want to take you to some of my favorite places."

"OH MY GOSH!!" madison shrieked.

"what what happened?" i panicked.

" i told the jacks i would have you home by 10:30 and it's almost midnight. i was just having so much fun and got so sidetracked of showing you around that i wasn't even paying attention to what time it was." she said as she turned the car in the other direction.

"it's okay. we will just explain when we get there and hopefully they understand."

soon we pulled into the driveway.

"madison thank you so much for today. you didn't have to buy me any of this stuff and you didn't have to pay for my nails. it thank you so much. i finally am starting to like it here. thank you so much i had so much fun today" i gave madison a big hug then we grabbed the shopping bad and went inside.

"FINALLY WE WERE SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU GUYS" jack g said as he tacked me and madison in a hug

"where's jack j?" i asked.

"oh um he's talking twitch cameron at your house" jack told me.

"oh well i'm going to go to the bathroom. i'll be right back" i said as i set my bags down and went to the bathroom.

i walked back into the living room where jack and madison were talking.

"we think that it's best if you go back home and talk things out with cameron. there are some things he needs to discuss with you" jack told me.

"are you serious? why can't i just discuss things with you. i don't want to be there right now. please let me stay here." i begged.

"i know you don't want to be there but you guys really need to talk. if you still don't feel like you can be there tomorrow i'm come pick you up and we can come back over here. but trust me, you need to talk to cameron." madison said.

"okay let me get my things then we can go." i said as i walked over to get my bags. all of us hopped into jacks car then drove to camerons house.

everyone was there. nash, hayes, aaron, jack, matt, hayes and now us.

when i walked into the living room everyone got quiet and they all stared at me with sympathy in their eyes.

"what's going on?" i asked as a i slipped my shoes off.

"go put your stuff upstairs first" cameron told me.

i did as he said and while i was up there i changed into pj shorts and a soft t-shirt.

then i walked downstairs and sat down on the couch next to cameron.

it was awkward and silent.

"so what do you need to tell me?" i asked quietly.

"the place your dad has been stationed was bombed. we aren't sure if it hit your dad or if he was hurt because we can't get in contact with anyone over there yet" cameron signed.

my heart dropped. it felt like my whole world was collapsing and there was nothing i could do about it. i was about to cry but i didn't want everyone to see me so i ran up to my room.

i heard someone run after me but i didn't know who it was.

as soon as i mad it into my room i fell onto my bed and started crying.

i felt someone's arms wrap around me in comfort. i wasn't for sure who it was but it smelled like hayes.
