Chapter 10
"Hey man!" Nathan greeted someone as they did one of those men handshakes.
"I see you came."
"Why wouldn't I? I need to party hard with this amazing girl." He yelled through the loud music, stepping aside so I came into the view as he placed one arm around my shoulder.
I couldn't stop the blush that appeared on my face as I felt his warm hand on my shoulder. I thanked God that it was quite dark inside so they couldn't see my blush. A tall guy with long, dirty blonde hair was standing in front of me. He was only wearing a pair of white pants.
He did one of those deafening loud wolf’s whistles as he offered me his hands, "Jason is the name and party is my game."
I quickly shook his hands. "Brenda."
Jason winked at Nathan and mumbled something about 'hot stuff you got there' before walking away.
"Don't worry about him. He's just a drunk bastard." Nathan drawled as he ran his fingers through his hair, "I'm going to get something to drink. You want?"
"Water?"
"Beer would be great too."
"I've never drank beer." I stated whilst biting the inside of my lips nervously.
"Just one time please?" He pleaded eagerly whilst pouting his lips in the most adorable way ever. Well there's a first time for everything right? One try won't hurt right?
I sighed defeated, "fine." He flashed me his beautiful smile before solemnly walking away.
I looked around as a thought occurred me. This was actually the first high school party I've ever been to. The place was filled with bodies rubbing on each other everywhere as loud music was blasting through Jason's house.
"And it was the best song ever!" I heard someone yelling along with the song as I immediately recognized the voice.
Lindsay.
I turned around as a body 'accidently' bumped into me. Lindsay screeched dramatically and distanced herself from me. She sneered as she placed one hand on her hips as the other hand was holding a red cup, "Party pooper. Why are you even here?"
Drunken Lindsay. Even better.
"Maybe because someone else's ex-boyfriend invited me?" I retorted whilst smiling innocently.
"Why would Jason even invite someone like you?"
"You dated Jason?"
"Wha-at are you ta-talking about?" She said as colors started to drain away from her face. Then she cleared her throat before scoffing loudly "How dare you speak to me so rudely! Wait.. if it wasn't Jason then. No! Nathan wouldn't..."
She couldn't finish the last part of her sentence because her voice started to crack as tears was filling in her eyes. She turned around and ran away.
Okay then..
Someone tapped my shoulder as I flinched from it. I turned around, ready to attack but I calmed down when I saw the cute guy that I'd liked for years with two opened bottle of beer in his hands standing in front of me.
He chuckled as he handed me one bottle as he said something that I couldn't quite catch up.
"What?!"
He grabbed my hands as he motioned me to follow him. After squashing through tons of sweaty bodies and drunken people we finally approached to a calmer place. I let out a breath of relieve.
