Chapter 1-

I wrapped a towel around me and went to my closet to find some nice clothes to wear. I still can't believe it. We are having new neighbors. Why can't the new neighbors find another house?

Ugh.

Did they arrive already? Was I so busy with my music that I didn't even hear any noises from next door? What if they heard me singing? That's impossible maybe they just arrived.I mentally slapped myself, how could I be so stupid not noticing anything.

Finally I found something to wear. I put on a white t-shirt with a tiger printed on it paired up with a black short. I looked myself in the mirror and made silly faces.

Ha ha, I love doing that. I checked myself again and shrugged. Hmm not bad I guess. I went back to the kitchen to help my mom finish preparing the dinner.

My mom was cutting the carrots. "Oh, you finally decided to help" she said looking up at me. "Black and white?" she raised her eyebrows "okay anyways help me stir the soup"

"Okay" I said and shrugged. Nothing new of her.

'All pressed up in black and white and you're dressed in that dress I like' I sang suit and tie in my head while stirring the soup. While I was minding my own business, suddenly the door bell rang.

"Brenda, go open the door because it must be them and call your sister and ask her if she's done with her training because she can't miss out on this dinner" my mom said.

I nodded and went to open the front door but the door was already half open and Chloe, my sister, stepped in and right behind her was two figures.

"Well Well Brenda you don't want to leave these friendly guests standing outside waiting in the cold, do you? The weather isn't very pretty."

"Oh Chloe shouldn't you be taking a shower? You smell." I said with a smirk on my face.

My sister shot me a glare and said "I've already showered at my friend's house and unlike you I have friends"

Someone cleared her throat and my head quickly snapped to the woman behind Chloe. She's a woman in her mid-thirties with black straight hair that reaches her shoulder and she was wearing a blue long sleeved shirt that says 'super momma' on it.

"uhm sorry about that and hi my name is Brenda Cowell and welcome to the Cowell family" I said quickly and embarrassed.

The woman chuckled and replied while swinging her hand in front of her face "Don't worry, me and my sister used to fight a lot too. And hi my name is RudLisa Underwood and this is my son Carter" she added with a smile while motioning to a guy that appeared right behind her.

The guy has short black hair, dark eyes like his mother and he looks very fit and there's something about him that I can't point out yet but I don't like the feeling about it.

He smiled "Hey."

I shot him a quick smile back and said "uhm my mom's in the kitchen so you guys can sit down and make yourself comfortable because the food is almost done."

Mrs. Underwood smiled. "Then I am right on time. I am going to help your mom and you kids can sit down and wait instead. Don't argue with me because I love cooking so let me help her." She said and went fast to the kitchen before I could open my mouth to say something. I turned my attention back to Carter.

Carter just shrugged and sat down in one of the chairs by the dinner table. Chloe did the same and sat across him. Yes, my sister is a cheerleader but she isn't those cheerleaders who go clinging on a guy so thank God or else I would be in the kitchen too if these two was going to flirt with each other. If Carter is going to be in the same school as me and Chloe, I'm pretty sure he's going to be a popular guy too just like Red light, because he isn't that bad looking.
