Chapter 15
I put my elbows on top of the lunch table as both of my hands were massaging my temple before I growled, "Just talk to him, would ya!"
"Shh, not the whole high school has to know. Lower your voice." Stella whispered, irritated. She took a sip of her bottle of vitamin water before swallowing the rest of the liquid with a gulp. She burped silently in disgust, "This taste like shit in my mouth."
When she was feeling sad, nervous, annoyed or mad, she would drink vitamin water even though she hated it so much. She said the bad taste would make her forget about everything. I was actually glad that she drank vitamin water instead of alcohol like a lot of people do.
But at that point, I didn't think the vitamin water was even helping at all.
"You know you don't have to give me that look." She mumbled as she placed her head, face first, on the lunch table whilst her hands were hanging lazily at her sides.
"But you are looking like a mess and grim. And I'm not fond of seeing you like this. Just go talk to Mickey, okay? Please." I breathed.
I was really worried about my best friend because she had always been the one joking around and smiling and at that moment she was looking like complete shit.
She shot her head upright, which made me flinched before she flashed me a smile. A smile that hid millions of pain, but I'm pretty much the only person that could see through that. She chuckled, "Stop worrying about me. I'm fine." She waved her hand aimlessly.
"No, you're not." I stated simply.
"Look, you're not dating a guy that secretly has a baby with don't know who and lied to your face. Aren’t relationships all about trust? Anyways on second thought, since you are basically begging me so much, I'm going to try to talk to him today. No promises though," She huffed calmly which meant that my words actually went through her head. She got up and winked before walking away, "Boyfriend's coming."
I was surprised at how fast she could cover up everything with just a smile and turn her mood of the opposite.
Nathan sat down in the chair next to me as he grabbed me by my waist and put me on his laps. He gently placed a kiss on my neck as I giggled, "Hey."
"Keep it pg." Carter cut in as he sat down in the chair across of us.
"Guess who decided to join us again. Couldn't fit in huh?" Nathan commented with a smirk on his face.
Carter shrugged carelessly, "Naah, just too many fake people want to be my friends. Girls want to get in my pants and the guys just want some competition, some also want to get in my pants. Cause I'm that attractive."
They were both shooting each other daggers like they were having an eye battle whilst I just shook my head.
"Heyyy guyssss!" Grayson came in as if he was about to throw a party as he broke the bad atmosphere, "What occurs once in a minute, twice in a moment and never in one thousand years?”
I smiled at him and shrugged, so did Nathan and Carter.
I like Grayson because he was always the one who would make everyone laugh.
He put his finger up, “I didn’t ask you guys to answer because you guys never know the answer anyways. And the answer is the letter M from Mickey, our friend. Is he still not coming to school?"
