Chapter 19
It was Friday; almost the end of March and the hell-week had just ended. It was actually the week of tests, but I liked to call it the hell-week. It had also been almost two and a half months since I had entered for the Romeo and Juliet play, but I hadn’t received anything yet which I assumed that sadly I wasn’t selected. Also almost two and a half months that Carter and I grew closer, as friends of course, since the day that we skipped school.
Every other high school kids would be partying like there wouldn't be any tomorrow, but then there was me. I preferred staying home, watch movies, sleep, eat pizzas, sing and procrastinate.
That was also what I'd already planned to do on that fine Friday. I didn't ask Stella to join me since she would be too busy with Mickey to even bother to answer my text messages. As for Carter, no way in hell I would ask him to come over. That would sound so thirsty.
I grimaced at the thought of it as I dialed the number of Pizza Hut to order their famous large pepperoni pizza.
Yes, I could even eat a whole box by myself.
Besides, I was pretty sure no one was home at that moment since it was only 4'o clock in the afternoon.
After thirty minutes, the pizza delivery man stood in front of my door. I exchanged money for the pizza before I closed the front door and ran to my room as I slumped down on my bed. As I was going to take the first bite of the heavenly slice of pizza, the doorbell rang again.
I let out a groan of annoyance as I got up from my bed.
Who would be visiting me at this hour? Or was it the pizza man again to give me another box for free since I was one of their regular costumers?
I smiled at the thought of the latter one. But when I opened the door, I was pretty shocked to found myself face to face with one of the three of the popular clique.
Savannah.
The quietest one of the three, but I'd to admit it; she was also prettier than the other two, Lindsay and Lulu. She had a light brown skin color, long curly hair that reached her hips, big light brown eyes and her eyelashes and eyebrows were outstanding.
Words had it that her eyelashes and eyebrows were naturally like that. She never plugged them or used an eyelashes curler or whatever it's called. That's why a lot of girls wanted to be like her.
"How is you doing?"
I smiled falsely at her as I said, "My sister isn't home. Bye." I was about to shut the door in front of her face, but she quickly held it right on time.
"I ain't here for Chloe alright? In other occasions I would be digging my nails in your skull right nah, but I is here right now because of you."
I knotted my eyebrows in confusion, "Me? I think you got the wrong house."
"Nope biatch, now let me in."
I hesitated for a minute before I huffed annoyed as I opened the door wide open to let her in.
She crossed her arms over her chest as she looked around as if she was observing some things. She was nodding her head slightly, but I didn't know why.
"Shouldn't you be like showering yourself in make-up powder right now? I mean like you do have a party to attend to right?"
She rolled her eyes as she looked me in the face, "Ya judge a lot."
