Chapter 25
I was sporting a cute white sweater with a black cross on it paired up with a black legging, my bag over my shoulder and I had my usual black converse on as I walked down the school’s hallway, just got my books from my locker for the first period. I was surprisingly early at school and let’s not forget to mention that I walked to school that day.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, Brenda actually decided to walk to school…
I was trying to find Stella to tell her about the same thing I’d been telling her for the past few weeks. And it wasn’t easy to find her since the school hallways were way too crowded while I still question myself why school wouldn’t stop wasting money on stupid events that no one even attends and instead start expanding the school already. It felt like everyone was breathing on your neck and you had to keep bumping into someone so you can pass through. And let’s just say that everyone was already used to bumping into someone that they got tired of apologizing or that they were just being an impolite brat.
Speaking of bumping, when I was trying to pass through a massive crowd of sophomores, I accidentally bumped into someone’s shoulder really hard.
I groaned irritated because it certainly wasn’t a good morning and said in a low voice afterwards, “Sorry.”
“Juliet?” I didn’t look up at first because I know my name wasn’t Juliet well at least that’s what my birth certificate says, so I just shrugged, kept walking as I was about to push through another group of people just standing in the corridor, but suddenly I recognized the voice so I quickly turned around.
And there stood the bouncy brown hair guy I met months ago and I also heard that he was chosen as my partner for the play, Harry.
I smiled, “Romeo, so you got the role huh?”
He said something back, but I didn’t catch what he said due the loud talking of the other high school kids so I made a gesture that indicated that I couldn’t hear him. He motioned for me to follow him as I did so. We entered the school’s cafeteria, which usually wasn’t open until break time and it was way quieter.
I huffed, “Finally some peace and I didn’t know the cafeteria was open at this hour?”
“Not a lot of people know because they just recently decided to open it from now on cause the school’s principal finally realized that more spaces are needed.”
“Uhu.” I nodded before I sat down by one of the lunch tables as I texted Stella to tell her where I was and that she should come as soon as possible before the bell rang.
Harry slumped down in the chair across of me as he placed his head on top of his hands, “So, did you memorize the whole script already? Are you ready for next week?”
“Part of it,” I looked at him confused at first and then face palmed myself as my eyes widen, “Wait, our practice starts next week?!”
He chuckled, “The audition is in a couple months so you better start memorizing your lines.”
I rolled my eyes and sighed, “Yeah I know, it’s just I still get these slight headaches because of that incident.”
“Oh yeah, the news was all over the school.”
“Tell me about it, people were practically jumping on me to ask if it was cool to get kidnapped and the thing was like more than two weeks ago and I’m still getting the questions.”
