Chapter 4

Yay, I'm finally going home. I haven't been this happy before. I was skipping on my way back home as I was thinking about Nathan Jones. He had made my day by just talking to me. It's like he has magical powers. Maybe school isn't that boring at all.

Then my thoughts went to Carter Underwood. I sighed. He's the worse. Why did it have to be him to find out. It would have been better if my sister had found out instead.

I kicked a small stone aside with full force on the sidewalk.

"Having fun on cloud nine?"

Speaking of the devil. I spun around immediately before I huffed in annoyance, "Stalker much?"

"Let's just take a moment of silence and think again that we are neighbours," He stated with a smirk on his face as he swung his arms over my shoulders, "Neighbours are besties."

That stupid smirk. I slapped his hands away before he pulled his arms back. "You wish." I beamed, fastening my steps.

He walked right next to me without even the effort of walking faster. Wow, he must have flamingo's legs.

We stayed silent as I walked slower, yes, it was a very awkward silent. After several minutes, he cleared his throat.

"Red Light huh?" He teased flashing me his stupid smirk again. I rolled my eyes as I stayed silent, trying to avoid that topic.

"How much beat does your heart skip again, when you see him?" He continued, obviously not getting the message,"You're good at giving nicknames. What about me?"

"What about you?"

"If I had a nickname what would it be?"

"What do you think it would be?"

"Do you always do that?"

"Do what?" I asked, completely confused.

He rolled his eyes and said "answering a question with a question."

"What about you?

"What about me?" he asked, smiling innocently.

"Why are you asking so many questions?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. "Playing 20 questions?"

"Maybe."

I took this as my chance to gather some information. "Okay fine. My turn. What do you do in your free time?" He raised his eyebrows, giving me a questioning look. I thought of a better way to ask him so I don't sound like a creeper, "I mean, will you always stay home in your room right after school or something?"

"Ye- uh no. Actually I'll enter the soccer team soon, so I'll get trainings after school. I think"

"Great!" I said, almost yelling without even thinking twice. "I mean okay and I love soccer" I quickly added.

Soccer training is every Monday and Friday after school, so I'll get the chance to sing and write some song lyrics as well.

Relieve washed through me. To be honest, I do love soccer. Soccer seems to be the only sport I actually like. Okay, maybe because Cristiano Ronaldo plays soccer and well...he's hot.

"Soccer lover huh? I like that" He said and winked, "what about you?" Something about that wink made me feel something that I couldn't quite make out what, but I quickly pushed that thought out of my mind.
