Chapter 43, "The end of a beautiful summer"

There girls were not really getting along. Terry had asked Candy to make an effort and he had told his cousins the same thing.

- Do you promise to work on it Candy? He asked.

- For you sapphire eyes, I'm going to work on it, but I not promising you anything...

- You're adorable, Lady Candy, said Terry kissing her.

He was in Allyson's room later that evening...

- Girls? Do you promise to work on getting along with Candy?

- I have no problem with Candy, said Ally.

- She gets on my nerves! Said Ashley sulking.

- Ash... do it for me, please.

- All right, for you Terry, said Ashley sulking.

The summer vacations continued and everybody was having fun , but they were coming to the end. That's how the girls managed to work on getting along, because of Terry. They hadn't killed each other yet...

The girls were outside one afternoon and they met Candy.

- Hi, said Candy.

- Candy, said Allyson smiling, what are you doing?

- I wanted to know if you would have a fencing game with me...

- I'm not very good, said Allyson, but Ashley was the champion at school back in America

- Really? Said Candy, you want have a one game with me?

Ashley looked at her. She thought about what Terry had asked her.

- All right, said Ashley.

- Don't kill each other girls, said Allyson.



Eliza who felt excluded joined them. Terry hadn't talked to him, Terry never talked to her before... It was her fault for humiliating him the first day.

- Fencing? Said Eliza, take advantage to kill Ashley...

- Because you think I'm going to just let myself kill like a lamb in the slaughterhouse? Said Candy

She had the masks and the swords. She gave a mask and a sword to Ashley... They started their fight. It was friendly, but it was like the two girls were really fighting for real... The boys were passing by and they saw the fight and they came closer.

- What's going on? Asked Terry.

- Candy and Ashley, started Eliza.

- Are fighting in duel for you! Said Allyson.

- What??!! Said Terry horrified.

- She's kidding Terry, said Patrick, aren't you sweetie?

- Of course I'm kidding! Said Allyson.

- Your joke seem real, said Jones looking at the fight.

As a matter of fact, the two girls looked like they were really fighting... Ashley couldn't help herself, fighting with Candy, she let all her frustration out on her and fortunately Candy knew how to defend herself. Eliza was cheering for Ashley encouraging her...
