On the plane that was bringing them to America, Jones was talking to Terry.

- You're a lucky dog, you know that? One lost, 10 found... but for the moment you don't give a damn about that, you're only thinking about Lady Candy... I bet you were thinking about her while you were kissing the princess...

Terry didn't answer.

- Ye who don't say a word, consents, said Jones.

The girls were on the seats behind them and Eliza was at the front.

- Terry, asked Ashley, are you going to continue your relationship with the princess?

- There is no relationship, said Terry.

- You kissed her, said Allyson.

- I kissed her in Scotland too, but I was with Candy...

- You kissed her when you saw Cady with the prince and her father was telling you that she was going to marry him, said Jones...

- Can we talk about something else? Said Terry, I really don't feel like thinking about all that...

- All right, said Jones, let's watch a movie...

They watched a movie, then another one, then another one... until they got to O'Hare Airport in Chicago... Terry didn't open his laptop or his cellphone during the whole trip.

The great aunt had come to pick up her grand nephews and grandnieces. Mrs. Reagan was also there. They were happy to see the children. These last ones were happy to be back home and they started calling their old friends...

Candice Eleonor Grandchester was still in her bedroom. She had a flat screen television and was looking at it like in a dream the news of her engagement with prince euro trash, like Terry used to call him. Terry... she wiped a tear. Engaged to prince Andrea, it was her dream before she met Terry on that boat when she was coming back from America. Now that her dream was becoming true it was a nightmare she was living, wide awake. Her heart was bleeding for her sapphire eyes... be careful what you wish for...you might just get it!

It was dinner time. Candy was finally getting out of her bedroom to join her family. She put on an evening gown and a maid came to tell her that dinner was ready. She went downstairs to the dining room where her father was waiting for her, with his wife and their children.

- Good evening, everyone.

- Good evening my darling, said her father.

- Good evening Candy, said her little sister

She was a few years younger than Candy.

- I would like to apologise for my behavior towards you... you're going to marry a prince soon

- And you don't want to be left behind, said Candy.

- Yes, mum is now allowing me to speak to you...

- That's very nice of you, Mrs. Grandchester, said Candy ironically.

- You know how to choose your men Candy, said the duchess smiling.

Candy shook her head; even the duchess was flattering her.

- After dinner, you're going to go to the other family castle... your mother is waiting for you there. I told the maid to pack your things.

- Her mother? Said the duchess.

- Yes, it's part of our deal...

- So I'm not worthy to take care of a future princess?

- Mellicent, you've never been a mother to Candy, admit it, she crossed the Atlantic to go look for real mother...

- You allowed that?

- If you had been a mother to her...it's too late now. Eleonor is waiting for her at the other castle...

The duchess was sulking, now that Candy was making headline news, she wanted to be by her side...

- I'm sorry, Mrs. Grandchester, said Candy, this little slut needs her slut of a mother to marry the prince!

It was the only light in this fiasco; she was going to be with her mother.

oOoOoOoOoOo

Eleonor was at the castle with Chloe, who had come to pick her up at the airport.

- I can't believe you're here...

- Chloe, you were taking care of her, how is she?

- She's in love with an American boy...

- She told you that?

- Yes, she stopped smoking because of him... she wasn't talking about the princes anymore...

- So this engagement is a surprise for you too, then?

- Yes, I was expecting it, but later...

- Thank you for keeping an eye on her.

- The American boy put her on the right track, not me...

- But you were preventing her from smoking in your house, right?

- As a matter of fact...

- Well it's better than nothing... I left my daughter to Richard...

- His wife mistreated her, but Richard took care of her well.

- By putting her in boarding school?

- It was Candy's choice, se was breathing better in boarding school... She had everything she needed.

- She was missing her mother and she came to see me and what did I do?

- You were surprised...

- She forgave me; thanks to that boy... he's good for her... and now Richard...

- He found a prince for her...it was his plan and Candy's too, before she met Terry

- Terry... that's his name...

- Be there for her, and take advantage of your time with her

They continued talking while waiting for Candy and her father. A little bit after dinner, the duke and his daughter arrived at the castle. Candy ran into her mother's arms.

- Mum! Oh mum! Thank you for coming!

- Oh my baby! How are you?

- I'm fine, now that you're here...

- It's going to be all right, honey, it's going to be fine...

Candy was happy in her mother's arms. She was thinking about Terry and her heart was breaking, but being with her mother, was helping a lot.
