I closed my textbook and went downstairs to get my phone back from my mom. I had been failing math for a long time and my mom decided I needed to study for an hour every night and often took my phone away while I did. I had one message from my girlfriend y/n. 'I hate my life' was what it said. I know she's depressed and doesn't have the best home life but she's never said anything like that before. I texted her over and over waiting for a response and called her a couple times. After 5 minutes of waiting with no answer I began to panic even more and decided to go to her house. She only lived a few houses away so I started running as fast as I could. I climbed up the tree and into her room through the window she always kept unlocked for me. The bathroom door was cracked open letting me hear her cries.
"Y/n" I whispered. Tears sprang into my eyes at the sight of her bleeding wrists and shaking, sobbing body.
"Y/n baby no" I yelled smacking the blade away from her. She looked up at me with bloodshot eyes that held so much pain and sadness.
"Y/n" I whispered, my voice cracking.
"What happened baby girl?" I got on my knees in front of her. I held her bloody wrists in my hands not even caring that her blood was now on my hands.
"I'm sorry" she sobbed falling against me.
"No no no darling don't be sorry" I pulled her against me. I rubbed her back trying to calm her down.
"Let me take care of those" I lifted her up on the counter.
"What did you do beautiful?" I whispered examining the cuts. I wiped the blood off and cleaned the cuts.
"I'm sorry Mikey I didn't mean to do this" she laid her head against my shoulder as I started wrapping bandages around her wrists.
"Shh  it's ok your ok everything's going to be ok" I secured the gauze and put everything away.
"I love you" she whispered wrapping her arms around my neck as more tears rolled down her cheeks.
"I love you so much" I lifted her up and brought her to her bed.
"We'll talk in the morning" I told her laying next to her. She pressed herself against me making my arms tighten around the love of my life.
