When Michael lost his hearing he was crushed. He sat on the bed sobbing and there wasn't much you could do besides hold him. Michael sat there trying to form words but his sobs cut him off every time. You rubbed his back a little before getting up and bringing a notebook and a pen over to him. He started writing quickly. Every sentence he wrote made him cry harder. You sat there rubbing his back as he continued to write. When he finished he threw the notebook to the side and buried his face in the pillows. You decided to read what he said.
It's not fair at all. I'll never be able to hear your voice ever again. I'll never be able to hear music. Not even my own. I can't hear myself play guitar. I can't hear the things fans have to say to me. How am I ever going to talk to anyone ever again? I hate this so much.
When you finished reading you noticed Michael had cried himself to sleep. So you left the room grabbed your car keys to go to the store. When Michael stumbled down the stairs the next morning sniffling every now and then he noticed a stuffed animal cat on the couch and a note from you.
Please don't cry baby. I'm not gonna let loosing your hearing ruin your life. We'll make it work. Your going to have to learn sign language but I'm going to teach it to you. No matter what happens you'll always by my Mikey and I'll love you forever. That cat is yours by the way.
He started crying again but not from sadness. From happiness that he had an amazing girlfriend like you. He was even happier that you knew sign language and as soon as he knew it you guys could talk again instead of writing everything down. He went up behind you and wrapped his arms around you. He kissed the top of your head and grabbed your arm. He used his finger and traced the words I love you on your arm. You smiled and kissed his lips.
