"Daddy's home" I smiled tapping my daughters nose. She giggled and squirmed around. I walked to the front door to see Michael supporting himself against it by his arms. He was breathing heavy. Kacey cried reaching forward to grab Michael but I titled her back.
"What happened Mike?" I whispered brushing my hand over his shoulder. He tensed. Kacey cried out again as Michael slowly turned around.
"Hey princess" he whispered rubbing Kacey's head. He took her from my arms and disappeared into the kitchen. He came back a moment later holding a bottle up for Kacey as she ate.
"Come here y/n" Michael said patting the spot next to him. I took a seat next to him as his arm snaked around my waist.
"Bad day?" I asked twisting his hair around my fingers.
"Yes" he groaned. "It was so fucking terrible" he threw his head back.
"Tell me about it"
"My guitar string kept breaking no matter how many times I fixed it and replaced it. The guys wrote an entire song without me because I couldn't think of anything and the car broke down on the way home. I spent 2 hours waiting for those stupid idiots to fix the car" he fumed.
"Shh Mikey" I brought his face closer and kissed him gently. "It's over now. Look at our little girl. Look how happy she is to see you. I know how talented you are. Don't let one bad day discourage you" I kissed him again. He leaned his head against my shoulder continuing to feed Kacey.
"You girls are so beautiful" he mumbled.
"We both love you Mike" I whispered.
"I love both you guys to" he kissed Kacey's head and my cheek. "So so much"
