"Michael." I said uneasily as the car came up to the crowd of fans outside the hotel, waiting to see the boys.

"It's okay babe, we'll keep you safe." Michael promised as people started banging on the windows as we drove past.

I shuddered away into Michael's chest as his arms wrapped around me. Last week Michael and I had decided to tell the fans about our relationship but they didn't take it well. I could hear them yelling names at me as we came to a stop.

Michael's arm slid around my waist as he pushed open the door. The loud screams filled my ears as hands grabbed onto my arms, my clothes, and sometimes even my hair. Michael's hand slipped from mine as I frantically searched around for one of the other guys. A few girls had closed in on me, preventing me from going anywhere.

"Michael!" I yelled, trying to push my way through them. "Help!"

I cried in pain when I was shoved to the ground. My vision became colored with spots as the girls kicked me in every spot they could.

"Everyone back away!" Was the last thing I heard before everything around me became black.

Michael's pov*

I lifted my head from my hands to see the rest of the guys running towards me with some girl following behind them. Each of them gave me a brief hug before gathering around me.

"How are you doing Michael? How's y/n?" Ashton asked.

"I don't know. I haven't heard anything yet." I answered. "Not to sound rude but who are you?" I asked the girl.

"She's a fan." Luke said. "She saw everything happen and tried to help. She also called the ambulance."

"My names Emily." She smiled, holding her hand out for me to shake.

"Thank you." I breathed out, pulling her in for a hug instead.

I immediately pulled away when I heard a doctor call y/n's name. We all hurried over to him and started to follow him down the plain white hallway.

"How is she?" I finally asked.

"She has a cracked rib and multiple bruises on her sides. She also hit her head pretty hard so don't be surprised if she doesn't remember you at first, she will eventually." The doctor explained.

"Okay." I whispered.

Ashton placed his hand on my shoulder as all of us walked into the hospital room. I took a seat on the edge of the bed next to her and placed my hand over hers.

"Y/n, do you know who I am?" I questioned softly.

"You're Michael." She whispered. "My boyfriend."

"You remember me." I breathed out, taking her into my arms. "How are you doing?"

"What happened?" She asked. "And who is that? And that?"

"Baby that's Calum, Luke, Ashton, and that's one of our fans Emma." I said to her. "We were trying to get into our hotel and some people hurt you." I whispered the last part as I tucked some hair behind her ear.

"Who were they?" Y/n asked.

"Some of our fans." Luke mumbled.

"They weren't fans." Emma said. "I've seen them online. They have hate accounts for each of you, that's why I tried to stop them."

"Thanks again Emma." I said quietly.

"Yeah, thanks." Y/n mumbled.

"No problem. I really have to go. I hope you feel better and maybe we can hang out some time." Emma said.

"Huh?" Y/n asked groggily, forcing her eyes open.

"I'll tell her in the morning." I chuckled.

Emma smiled before leaving the room along with Luke. I tucked the thin blanket around her more before I leant down to kiss her forehead.
