"And 50 done baby girl" Michael smiled, grabbing on to your forearms and helping you sit up.
"I'm so tired" you mumbled, eyes half closed and cuddling into Michaels chest.
"I know you worked out a lot today" he nodded.
"I have to if I want to be able to run that marathon tomorrow" you explained.
"I'd say you're done for today" he chuckled, seeing that you were basically falling asleep on top of him.
"Huh what?" You mumbled trying to keep your eyes open.
He chuckled again, "It's ok sweetheart"
Slowly he stood up, keeping you in his arms. Michael laid you down on the couch before he left the room again.
"Here have some of this" He whispered, pushing some hair off your face. You took the water bottle from him and took a few sips before placing it on the table. When Michael sat down, you fell over, placing your head in his lap. Michaels hands instantly fell into your hair.
"You ok baby?" He checked, noticing you were still breathing heavily.
"Mmhmm I'm just tired" you replied. Nodding, he continued to brush his fingers through his hair, watching whatever was on tv. You tried to stay awake as long as possible but eventually you fell asleep.
"Y/n" Michael whispered against your forehead, "Come on baby wake up"
With a groan, you forced your eyes open to meet his.
"Someone looks happy" he chuckled, planting his lips on yours.
"I feel like I didn't get any sleep" you grumbled.
This time he kissed your forehead, "Trust me you did. I've been trying to wake you up for the past 20 minutes"
Laughing quietly, you sat up on the couch, rubbing your eyes.
Michael patted your thigh as he pushed himself off the couch, "Come on babe, get dressed. We have to leave soon and you still haven't eaten"
Michael left you on the couch and went to the kitchen to finish making breakfast. While he did that you put on shorts and a tank top to run in then met him in the kitchen.
"Eat quick or we're gonna be late" he told you.
"You're more excited for this than I am" you laughed, sitting across from him at the table.
"Because I'm not running it" He replied with laughter. You guys quickly ate and Michael grabbed your bag out of the closet before you went out to the car. He handed you a water bottle as he got in the car. You knew it was important to drink a lot of water before you ran, especially in this heat. Your heart started racing as Michael pulled up at the park. This was the moment you had been training for for months. You were running a marathon to raise money for cancer. This was the day.
"Love you babe" Michael said kissing you quickly. After you made your way through the crowd you lined up with the other runners and waited until the pulled the bell, signaling you to run. The run was hard and tiring but you were in the lead and ended up finishing first. As soon as you crossed the finish line, Michael was there, holding you tightly against his chest and pressing a cold wet towel against your forehead, helping you cool down.
"You did it baby girl I'm so proud of you" he whispered into your hair.
"I can't believe I actually finished the whole thing" you whispered, still trying to get your breathing back to normal.
"Baby you came in first"
You smiled when you heard what Michael said but at the moment all you wanted was to sit down and get out of this heat. When everyone else finished the race and they announced how much money was made, you and Michael went back to the car.
"Y/n I am so proud of you" Michael stated. He glanced over at you and his smile dropped.
"Hey are you ok?" He asked softly, leaning over and placing his hand on your thigh.
"Yeah" you whispered, "I'm ok"
He smiled and gently pressed his lips to yours.
