Lucy

This day didn't start out too well for me. I woke up from falling off the bed, my hair was a tangled mess, I thought I misplaced my bags and spent so much time looking for them when they were besides the bed the whole time. I couldn't find my phone either. How I woke up on time, though? I have no idea.

At least I was able to get ready quickly. I decided to wear light jeans, a simple white crop top with a floral kimono over it and white flats. For makeup I just put on some mascara. I also put on some lipstick, nothing too bold. Untangling my hair took years but once I got the job done I did a waterfall braid, leaving my fringe out.

Thank god Laxus didn't see how much of a mess I was this morning. He probably would have taken a picture and hold it against me.

Mira called me down for breakfast a few minutes ago. I could smell the delicious aroma from my room. So good my mouth started to water.

Laxus was already at the table, waiting for Mira to finish. I sat down across from him.

"Going to work today?" I asked.

"Going to school today?" I raised an eyebrow and nodded. "There's your answer." Prick.

"Where do you even work at?" I can't believe I haven't asked him yet.

"I'm the gym teacher at your school, I thought you knew?" I shook my head.

"If I knew I wouldn't have asked, idiot." I stuck my tongue out at him. He did the same back.

"Okay, okay. Stop acting like babies. It's time to eat," Mira said, placing several plates of food in front of us. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, you name it. This is heaven. I grabbed a good amount of food and started eating right away.

"So you're the music teacher at my school?" I asked Mira, making sure I heard her right last night. She gave me a smile and thumbs up.

We finished eating not too long after and cleaned up.

"Hey Lucy, I bought you a new bag and some supplies," Mira handed me a pink book-bag that had some lace on the smaller pocket. I thanked her, giving a big hug. I followed the two out of the house and into the car.

The drive there was getting pretty quiet.

"So are we going back to that cafe we went to yesterday because I fell in love with the strawberry shortcake." My brother and future sister-in-law laughed.

"Mira has to go back to go fill out some paychecks."

"Why are you going to write them?" I'm confused.

"She owns the cafe, Lucy." Laxus deadpanned. My eyes widened. Strauss Cafe was owned by Mira. Mira Strauss. Strauss Cafe... Mirajane Strauss. Oh, I'm so slow.

"I'm so dumb! How could I have not noticed that!"

When we got to the school, I was in awe. Complete awe. The school was huge. It was a cool looking school too, the architecture was beautiful.

"This is Fairy Tail High," I whispered to no one in particular. My nerves started coming back. This is my first time in a public school, with boys nonetheless.

"Mira, you take Lucy to the office, I have to go straight to the gym for my first class." He gave the white haired beauty a kiss and an 'I love you' then walked off.

"So Lucy, there's someone special waiting for you at the office." Mira grabbed my hand, dragging me through the halls. People were staring at us, at me and it's scaring me. I feel very uncomfortable when I have a lot of attention. Surprising, right? I mean, I used to perform a lot but I haven't done that in so long that I'm not used to it anymore.

We came across a door and Mira walked in without hesitating or knocking. We went through another door before we entered the headmasters office.

There was a short, elderly man with a thick white mustache. My eyes watered immediately upon seeing him. I ran to him, giving him a big hug.

"I missed you so much, Grandpa," I said quietly, trying to hold back my tears of joy. He gave me a toothy grin.

"I missed you too my child. I'm sorry I haven't kept in touch with you these past few years. I heard about your tough times back at the mansion." After catching up with my grandfather in the short amount of time we had, he handed me an envelope.

"In there is your locker number and combination and schedule. I'll have a member of the student council come and show you around. I'll make sure they have all or most of the same classes you have, making it easier for the both of you." He started to dial on the school phone.

Looking at my schedule it seems pretty straight forward; Economics, Precalculus, Physics, English 12, music/P.E, and free period. My locker is on the second floor, too.

Gramps got off the phone.

"They'll be here soon. Now I want to know something. Do you still have the key your mother gave you and Laxus before she passed away?"

"Of course I do! She gave to me right before she passed away as a gift... I keep it as a charm for my necklace, even if the key isn't really small. I have it on the same necklace I was given on my seventh birthday by Aquarius." He smiled and nodded. He started telling me about his life as a principal and how stressful it is, especially with some, in his words, brats. A knock on the door interrupted him.

"Come in."

A tall man with bizarre blue hair, a red tattoo above and under his right eye and brown eyes walked in. He had a cool, calm yet serious demeanor.

"Sorry to interrupt. I'm here to show someone around." I stood up, giving Gramps a hug then walking up to this man.

"Jellal Fernandes, Student Council Vice President. Nice to meet you," he gave me a slight smile and reach out his hand. I shook it and returned the smile.

"Luciana Heartfilia, but you can call me Lucy. Nice to meet you too!" His eyes slightly widened when he heard my name.

"Shall we get started with our tour?" We walked out of the office together. I handed him my schedule.

"I have all but last period with you. A few people have free period while I have Student Council meetings," he rolled his eyes playfully. "We have a good 15 minutes left until school starts. I'll probably be able to show you your first three classes then we're going to go to first period which is economics."

I looked over the paper to see my teachers.

Ms. Evergreen, Mr. Conbolt, Mr. Alors, Mr. Gryder, Ms. Strauss, Mr.Dreyar.

Wait. Evergreen...Mr. Conbolt. They're teachers too?!

"Oh once you join a club, that will replace your free period. We're really the only school in Fiore that has free period because...well, Fairy Tail never follows the rules," Jellal mentioned with a small smile on his face.

By the end of the small tour I find out my first two classes are near each other which is good for me. I don't really like stairs, heh.

Well today's still my unlucky day.

My third class is on the third floor while my first two are in the basement. Yay!
