Mira

Today's the day I'm going to tell Laxus that I'm pregnant. I still can't believe that a life is going to be growing in my belly. The day I found out I was with child, everything made sense. The sudden queasiness, feet swelling, fatigue, all of it.

To be honest, I'm really scared. I cooked a large dinner for my fiancé, I have a bag filled with multiple gifts for him on the table, and I'm clad in a short pink dress with a little surprise underneath it as well. I called Lucy earlier asking if she can stay out for a couple more hours, and of course she agreed.

Laxus should be coming home from Makarov's house in about ten minutes. I have to thank Makarov for making his grandson help out with the Halloween dance, even though it wasn't necessary.

I keep glancing at the small box in the middle of the table...Maybe I should put it with the other gifts. Yeah, I'll put it at the top so it will be the first thing he sees. To keep the whole thing simple, I put all of the items in a plain red gift bag.

As I was trying to find a hiding spot for the bag, I hear someone trying to unlock the front door. I immediately knew it was Laxus from the way he jiggles the nob when turning the key. I panic and throw the bag in refrigerator. A second later I notice where I threw it but too late now, Laxus already opened the door.

I watch from the kitchen as he hangs his sweater on the coat rack, his large muscles flexing as he does so. I'm starting to sweat, how is he going to react? Does he even want children? What if he doesn't want to get married? Or worse, what if he leaves me? I groan loudly at the thought and my eyes widen because now I hear my fiancé's footsteps.

"Mira? Mira, are you alright?" He stood there in the doorway.

"I'm fine, babe. No need to worry," I try to say without a shaky voice. I run a hand through my hair and sigh.

I watch as he looks around the kitchen, "What's all this?"

"Nothing really, just wanted to make you a nice dinner, hehe." He looks at me incredulously. "C'mon, let's eat."

"Where's Lucy?"

"She went out with Sting and Rouge." He nods, taking a seat at the dining table.

A good ten minutes go by and I haven't said anything. I can feel Laxus glance at me here and there, probably wondering why I'm so antsy.

"Gramps told me that he hired a dj for the dance."

"Oh yeah?" I reply, but my voice sounding far away.

Laxus slams his fork down, staring at me with intense eyes and brows furrowed. "Dammit Mira, what's wrong with you?"

I shake my head, not being able to look up at him, "I'll tell you after dinner."

"No. No you're not. You're telling me now," he demands. I sigh and get out of me seat. I keep a straight face as I head towards the refrigerator. I grab the bag and take a seat next to Laxus. I move his plate to the side and place the bag in front of him.

Laxus gives me a confused look. Inside I'm terrified that he won't be happy but on the outside there's a small smile on my face.

Right before he takes a look in the bag, the doorbell rings. My fiancé quickly gets up and walks to the front to open the door. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding. I don't know why I'm so nervous, I know Laxus loves me very much and would love to have a family but there's still some doubt.

"Hey man, I'm just dropping off Lucy's bags." I hear someone say. I get up and walk to the front door. It's Sting and he hands Laxus a large duffle-bag and a backpack.

"Hey Sting," I greet him, a smile on my face. Laxus walks away, bringing the bags to his sisters room.

Sting gives me a quick hug, "how've you been?"

I sigh and run a hand through my hair, "Honestly, a nervous reck."

"Ah, I'm guessing you haven't told him yet." He says in a low voice, knowing about Laxus' enhanced hearing.

I nod and something around Sting's neck catches my eye. His necklace. A familiar looking key is hanging from it. I've seen something like it before. Twice actually.

"Hey Sting, where did you get your necklace?"

He grabs the gold key, "My dad gave it to me when I turned ten. He said someone special gave it to him to give to me." I nod, taking in the new information. I'm going to talk to Laxus about this later.

When we heard footsteps, obviously Laxus', our heads turn to the staircase.

"Well I'll be going now, I hope it all goes well." He waves and walks to his car. Closing the door, I watch as Laxus makes his way back to the kitchen.

Taking a seat, I watch him pull out the first thing he sees. The box. I take it from his grasp and keep it in front of me, "Open this last."

His hand goes back into the bag and he pulls out a chocolate bar, Baby Ruth. He goes in again and pulls out a small bag of baby carrots. "What the hell," he curses under his breath.

I'm gripping onto the hem of my dress. He pulls out an article of clothing, a blue infant onesie saying "I'm Cute, Mom's Cute, Dad's Lucky" and that's when Laxus looks up at me surprised. He goes in again and takes out a pair of pink booties. His mouth is open but he's not saying anything. He looks into the bag again and takes out the last item, a white bib saying "These Fools Put My Cape On Backwards" and I smile at Laxus facial expression.

I hand him the box and once he opens it, he covers his eyes with his hand. It's the first pregnancy test I took. Once I see his shoulders start shaking, my tears start to fall.

"Babe," he choked. "I'm - am I going to be a dad?" He uncover his eyes and I nod slowly. The emotional man pulls me towards him, my face colliding with his chest. Laxus cups my cheeks, tilting my head upwards and kisses me with so much passion. We're both crying tears of joy by now.

Laxus rubs stomach softly, "I'm so happy. I'm so fucking happy." He takes my hand in his, giving it a soft kiss. He stares at the engagement ring. "I want to get married."

That catches me off guard.

"We already have a lot of the planning done anyways so why not? We can have it on our anniversary, too! December tenth."

I grin and throw my arms around his neck. "Yes yes yes! I'm so happy!" And here comes more tears.

The moment I feel my body being lifted, I freeze. My soon-to-be-husband is carrying me bridal style and starts walking God knows where.

"We're gonna go celebrate," he smirks, not looking at me. My face starts to heat up. "I saw your bra strap, I know exactly what you're wearing underneath this cute, innocent dress– you Demon," he says, voice deep and seductive.

"Wait- Laxus! What about dinner-"

"It ain't gon' go anywhere, Mira."

He dropped me on the bed and walked back to the door, closing it slowly as he eyes me like I'm his prey.

"Now, you won't be leaving this room for a while," he growls. One second he's towering over me, the next second our our clothes are off. All that's left on him is a necklace with a key; one he never takes off.

Not many coherent words are said for the next few hours.

And let's just say, we're going to be needing a new bed.
