Lucy

It's been a week since Mira found out she's pregnant. She still hasn't told Laxus, she just doesn't know how to. She's been telling him that she probably has a stomach bug and he believes her.

In the past week, I've gotten closer to my friends. The only thing that bothers me is that when we all hang out, there's always someone that's quiet or is not there. Natsu. I'm curious as to why he's acting this way. Sometimes at night the guys and Erza would disappear and Levy and Juvia won't tell me where they're going. Natsu's isn't always sad or depressed anymore. He's usually mad or plain serious.

I plan on finding out why he's the way he is.

Gray invited everyone to his house tonight to watch some movies and to hang out.

I'm bringing some cookies I baked earlier today because well... I was bored.

Gray's house is pretty big. There's two garages which could fit about four cars. There's a pretty big front yard two.

I rang the doorbell and surprisingly Erza opens the door.

"Hey Lucy! What took you so long?"

"Uh well... My house is kind of far from here and I walked so..." She grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside.

"Lucy's here!" She shouts. Gray and Levy come running and tackles me.

"Hey watch out I brought cookies!" Right when I finish I hear loud, pounding steps coming our way. It'd Gajeel and the first and only thing he does is grab the small basket in my hands then walks away.

"Sup Bunnygirl," he greets over his shoulder. Bunnygirl? Where the hell did he come up with that name. I follow where Gajeel is going and that leads me to the living room. Natsu, Juvia and Jellal are here. Juvia is sitting on the couch, next to Natsu. Jellal is sitting at the bay window, which is where Erza heads. I sat with Levy on another couch and Gajeel sat in front of her and Gray sat in front of Juvia.

"What movie do you guys want to watch," Gray asked, pressing buttons on the remote and scrolling through our options.

"Let's watch a scary movie!" Gajeel let out his signature laugh. Juvia, Levy and I shrieked.

"No!"

"Oh cmon! Shrimp if you're just scared you can hug me," Gajeel winked at Levy, causing her to blush. She punched his shoulder and he hissed.

I turn around and watch Gray tell Juvia to sit on the ground next to him, and she does. Looking at Natsu, he has his eyes glued to his phone.

"We're watching The Conjuring whether you like it or not."

We're about an hour in the movie and it feels like my heart is going to rip out my chest. I've never been a fan of scary movies. All that blood and jump scares and killing. It scares the living hell out of me.

I get up from my seat and walk out of the living room. Looking back I see Erza sitting in between Jellal's legs, the both of them no longer sitting on the bay window. Levy is straddling Gajeel, her face in the crook of his neck and arms and legs wrapped around his body. His arms are wrapped around her waist and I can see a light hue on his cheeks, even in the dark. Gray has his arm wrapped around Juvia and she's hiding her face in his chest. And Natsu...well yeah he's gone.

Walking into the kitchen, I take a seat at the table after grabbing a bottle of water. My heart is still beating like crazy. I'm halfway through the bottle of water when someone enters the kitchen.

"Did the movie scare you?" I can practically hear the smirk on his voice.

"No Gray, the movie made me think of unicorns and rainbows and happiness." I roll my eyes. "No shit the movie was going to scare me. I didn't want to watch a horror movie to begin with!" I throw my hands up in the air. He laughs and takes a seat across from me.

"Why aren't you in the living room?" He shrugs.

"I got pretty hungry. Plus Juvia fell asleep so I brought her to my sisters room."

"Where's Ultear?– Wait, where's your family for that matter?"

"Lyon is sleeping over his friends and Ultear is doing the same. My parents are on vacation." I nod and watch him snag one of my cookies.

"Hey...what's up with Natsu?" I'm guessing I caught him off guard since he started choking.

"W-what do you mean?" He's looking everywhere but my face. Okay now I know something is up.

"Why is Natsu always depressed or angry? Why is he always absent or ignoring us? Why does he act so cold and distant in the beginning of October, like you mentioned the day we met." Gray sighed, running a hand through his messy hair.

"It's not my story to tell, Lucy."

"Alright then. I'll just ask him myself."

"He probably won't even tell you. Even if he did, you won't like it."

"I don't care. I just want to know what's wrong! Maybe I can help him!" I raise my voice. I stand up, anger evident in my eyes.

"The guys and I have been trying to help out for two years. We have no lead on the problem." His eyes widen when he finishes.

"Lead? On what problem?!"

"Go ask him for yourself if you're that curious!" He yelled.

"I don't even know where he is! Goddamn, no need to get your nipples in a twist!"

"He's out back," Gray says in a quieter tone, calming down.

I grab another water bottle and my own before walking out.

Natsu is laying down on the grass. I sit next to him, pressing the extra bottle to his arm. He grabs the bottle without looking away from the stars.

"Hey why aren't you inside watching the movie?" He shrugs.

"I've never been a fan of horror movies. They always seem so predicable." And I keep it at that.

I lay down besides him, gazing at the stars as well.

Minutes pass before he talks. "I heard you guys." I give him a questioning look. "You and Gray. I heard what you guys were arguing about. If you want to know, I'll tell you. I'm just warning you now that it isn't something you'd expect and you won't be happy by the end of it."
