Third Person

The group entered the small yet popular café and took a seat at a long booth near the window.

On one side it was Erza, Jellal, Gajeel and Gray. On the other it was Natsu, Juvia, Levy and Lucy.

Lucy of course ordered a strawberry shortcake, one she has been craving throughout the day. Her and Erza gush about how much they both love strawberry cakes, their friendship growing immensely. They talked even if they were on opposite sides of the table, ignoring everyone else's conversations with each other. Strawberry cake is important to them!

Gray was quietly eating his cookie dough ice cream, his favorite. Jellal was quiet as well but stared at his phone with a serious face. Gajeel, Levy and Juvia were talking about their studies and any plans they have for the weekend. Natsu was playing a game on his phone while drinking a piping-hot hot chocolate with whipped cream and three cinnamon sticks. There was some cinnamon dusted on top of the cream.

Everyone finished their drinks and desserts not too long later.

Lucy's phone started ringing. She dug into her bag, grabbing her device and seeing a picture of a girl with short bright pink hair and light blue eyes. The blondes eyes widened, not expecting a call from her. She answered the call, putting the phone against her ear.

"Hello?"

"Hi P-princess," the girls voice cracked.

"Virgo?! What's wrong?!" Lucy stood up on instinct, catching the gangs attention. She had her back to Levy, who was sitting next to her, and stared at the door.

"I made S-Sir Hearfilia angry, I accidentally d-dropped a picture frame and h-he-he slapped me." Lucy could hear her quiet sobs, causing her eyes to tear up as well.

"Lucy, what's wrong?" Gray asked but was ignored by the said blonde.

"H-hey Virgo, stay in my room, lock the door and rest. I know you do a lot over there. Don't cry anymore, please. I'll see you soon, don't worry. I'll call you later, I love you." Lucy hung up and slid the phone in her back pocket. She let out a shaky breath.

She made her way out of the café quickly, shielding her eyes with her hand, not wanting people to see her cry.

She ran down the road and into a park. She climbed up a tall tree that was next to a river. Lucy bent her legs, bringing her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. Tears after tears rolled down her cheek. She doesn't like crying especially since she's done so much when she was younger.

Gray jumped out of his seat and ran after the girl.

"Lucy!" He shouted. "Lucy where are you!"

He ran and ran and ran. Why was he running after someone he met not too long ago and was very nervous for her. Truth is, he doesn't know himself. His legs moved on their own after he watched Lucy leave Mira's café, especially after seeing her eyes water.

He wasn't watching where he was going until he almost fell into the river in Blooming Park. He looked around, it was getting darker because the sun was going down. He started walking along the water, keeping a close eye on his surroundings. Once he heard a sniffle he looked up. There she was with puffy eyes.

"Lucy, get down from there." She shook her head. "Cmon Lucy, I'm not kidding." She looked down before shaking her head again.

"Dude, you could get hurt! Get down now!" He demanded.

"I c-can't!" She laughed. "I don't even know how I got up here honestly!" Gray  chuckled as well.

"Just jump, I'll catch you. I promise," he said, softly.
