Third Person

Lucy stood in the front the class as Mira walked away, taking a seat at her desk. Grabbing a stool, Lucy sat down as well. Closing her eyes, she forgets how to breathe, her nervousness getting to her.

Just picture them naked. Picture them naked, she repeated. Opening her eyes, she inwardly screams.

Shouldn't have done that, she thought, regretting what she did. Shaking her head, she closed her eyes again.

(Lyrics will be italicized)

I've seen the world
Done it all
Had my cake now
Diamonds, brilliant
And Bel Air now
Hot summer nights, mid July
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child

Lucy's singing is quiet and smooth. Everyone's eyes widened. Of course they expected her voice to be amazing like her mothers but they never expected her to sound this angelic and beautiful.

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

Levy's hand flew to Laki's arm, holding it with a tight grip. Saying Lucy's voice was good would be an understatement. This is making Levy taking back her choice of words when she asked her new friend if she could sing good. Now she knows how amazing the said blonde's voice is, imagine how talented she is at her two most preferred instruments.

I've seen the world, lit it up
As my stage now
Channeling angels in the new age now
Hot summer days, rock 'n' roll
The way you play for me at your show
And all the ways I got to know
Your pretty face and electric soul

A student outside of the class became mesmerized with the soft yet strong voice. They stood outside the door for a brief minute before quietly walking in. Taking a seat in the back of the class unnoticed, they couldn't take their eyes off of the performer.

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

Erza looked at Jellal, almost as if asking him the same question. He gave her a small nod and a kiss on the head, wrapping his arm around his girlfriend's shoulders, pulling her to his chest.

By now the shy blue haired teen was already crying, for she is very emotional and sensitive. The lyrics hitting her right in her heart but she doesn't know why.

Gajeel notices his childhood friend weeping and starts to panic. He's not an affectionate person so what can he do? He simply pats her head, not sure of how else he can her calm down. To his luck, it worked.

Lucy opened her eyes and was shocked to see the classes reaction.

"W-wow," Mira started. "Laxus told me about your talents but he never told me about your song writing. That was just... wow!" Lucy blushed, scratching the back of her head.

"T-thank you. I haven't performed in a long time and this was kind of hard for me to do without messing up."

Erza stood up, slamming her hands on the table just like she did in the cafeteria, but this time scaring Jellal.

"You were absolutely amazing Lucy!"

Levy and Juvia jumped up as well.

"Yeah Lu! Your singing took my breath away!"

"Y-your singing b-brought me to tears!" Pretty soon most of the class was complimenting her.

Lucy, not being used to this much praise, started to blush furiously.

"Anyways, Lucy you may take your seat," which she ended up doing, "I have some news.

"Before that, Natsu, I'm glad you came to class, even though you missed a few minutes of it. Better late than never I guess." Most students looked towards the back of the class, surprised to see him there. He gave them all a deadly glare, basically telling them to stop with the shocked looks and staring.

"Back to the news, there will be a dance held on Halloween. A costume party. We don't exactly plan on getting a band so I was thinking of having some students from each class sing. Based off of Lucy's little performance today, I would like you to be one of them. Accompanied by Jellal, if he wants to of course, because he is also an amazing singer. I think you'd make a great duo."

"Hey what about me! I sing better than Mr. Tattoo-Face over there!" Gajeel argued. Levy groaned and threw her notebook at the tall teen's face.

"No you don't, Gajeel. Shut up and sit down!" He did as he told while grumbling about how life is unfair.

"I'll do it," Jellal accepted.

"I-I-oh-eh...wait whaaaaa?" Lucy was surprisingly confused. She didn't know about some Halloween dance or the fact that students are performing instead of a band. This was her first day after all. If anything, she was terrified of the idea of performing in front of almost the entire school.

"Cmon Lucy! It should be fun," Gray tried to reassure her, patting her back.

"New Love Rival added to the list," Juvia muttered, no longer stuttering, but no one heard her.

"A-alright. I guess I'll give it a try."
