Fading Scars.

Chapter 9

"Wake up Alyson, you're coming with me." I woke up and looked at my mom who was standing beside my bed, "What are you doing here in the middle of the night?" I asked, "You're coming to my house. You will be living with me from now on." she said, taking my arm and putting me out of bed. What was going on? Where was Josh? "Where's Josh?" I asked her, trying to get out of her grip, she burst out laughing, "Do you really think he liked you? This guy was playing with your feelings Aly." she told me. What was she talking about? Josh loved me, "He loves me mom, you can't take me away from him!" I screamed at her, "But that's excatly what I'm about to do."

My dad. I couldn't leave his side, "No you're not! I'm not gonna let you take me away from Josh and Dad!" I exclaimed. But it was too late. She took me away. I didn't even know where she was living now. We drove for hours before we finally parked the car in the driveway. "Why?" I asked, "What are you talking about?" she replied, "Why do I have to live with you? Why did I have to leave Josh and Dad?"

"You can't live on your own now Aly." she told me, "I had Josh with me, everyday!" I screamed at her, "Stop talking about that Josh guy, you're pissing me off. You will have to get over the fact that he didn't liked you, Alyson." she was acting like a total bitch, I couldn't handle her, "I didn't have time to say my good byes to Daddy.." I was about to cry, but I didn't want to look weak in front of her, so I hold the tears back in, "You won't have to hunny, he's already gone." she was almost smirking at the thought that my Dad died, "That's not true." I told her, immediately. I would have known if my Dad was dead. "No sweetie. He's gone now." and she walked away.

 

I woke up terrified at the dream I just had. I was sweating and crying. It looked so real, I wasn't able to think about something else. Josh wasn't with me tonight. I took my phone and checked what time it was ; 2 AM. Great. I called Josh and he answered immediately;

"Aly? What's wrong?" he was talking with his sleepy voice, "Josh can you come to my house please.." I cried in the phone, "Yeah, sure. I'm on my way, Aly. Don't worry, I'll be there soon." he told me. I hung up and turned on all the lights in my room. I jumped when I heard a thunder, I looked out my window and I saw it was raining. I was so scared right now. I know this was all just a dream, but again, it looked so real.. My mom was stupid and crazy enough to do that. I didn't dream about it for nothing. She could take me away if she wanted, but of course I wouldn't let her. In my dream, I was weak and couldn't defend myself. But in real life, if I could kill her, I would.

 I was too terrified to be in my room alone, so I went downstairs to wait for Josh. Once again, I turned all the lights on, but two seconds later they were all off. The electricity went out. It was so dark. I couldn't see anything. I collapsed on the floor and hugged my knees to my chest and cried. The front door opened and Josh was there, finally. He ran up to me and took me in his arms. He rocked us back and forth to stop my tears. "Shhh Aly, I'm here now." he breathed in my neck, "My mom was taking me away of you an-and my d-dad was d-dead.." I cried so much that his shirt was getting wet, "It was just a nightmare Aly. I would never let her take you away from me." he said, looking at my brown eyes. I was lucky to have a boyfriend like him. It was 2 AM in the freaking morning and he came to my house to comfort me because I had a nightmare. The proof was there. He did love me. My mom was wrong. She was always wrong. Josh took me off of the floor and guided me to my room. I layed on my bed and Josh did the same. I burried my face in his chest and closed my eyes. He kissed my temple and rested his chin on my head. I felt safe now that he was there with me. It felt like nothing could happen now. "Thank you Josh." I whispered, "It's nothing babe. I missed you anyway, I wanted to see you." he told me, "But we were together today?"

 "Every second without you seems like days. I'm always missing you." he whispered, looking down at me. I loved him so much, it was unbelievable. I kissed him until I had to take some air, "I love you so much." I truthfully said to him, "I love you too, Aly." he told me before kissing my neck and I fell asleep.

This morning, I was waking up by my phone ringing. I answered and I realised it was the hospital, telling me to come over soon because my Dad didn't have much time left.. I was in a nightmare again, but this time, I was awake.

Josh and I were at the hospital for hours now. I was holding my Dad's hand the whole time. I was talking to him, I knew he was hearing me. The doctor had to put him in a coma. So, I couldn't talk to him anymore. Yes I could talk to him, but he couldn't answer back.

"I have to go home for a couple of hours, is it okay?" Josh asked me, "Yeah, don't worry." I answered. Josh kissed my cheek and went out of the hospital. I was now alone with my Dad. "Hey Daddy." I said, "I miss you already." I could feel the tears coming, "Remember the time when I was little and we played Hide and Seek? Well, I was cheating." I laughed, "I always opened my eyes to see in which direction you were going." I stopped, thinking about that day, "I will always remember everything we did together. How could I forget? Everyday I spent with you were the best days ever. I will never forget them." I was crying and laughing at the same time, "I totally forgot to tell you that Josh told me he loved me yesterday, for the first time. I was happy, really happy. I wish you could stay with us to see how happy he makes me. Do you know someone who would come at his girlfriend's house at two in the morning because she had a nightmare? Well, Josh did. I had a nightmare last night and Josh came to see me." I cried a little but kept talking, "I don't want you to leave me Daddy.. You hold on for so long, why today? I need you. I won't be living my life the way I wanted to. If you're not there, why should I be? You are my reason to stay alive. When you'll be gone, I won't hav-" and then I thought about Josh, he was a reason to stay too, he kept me alive too. "I have Josh still. He will be there too. He's my boyfriend, he should be there." I laughed at my own words, "I know everything's gonna be alright. You promised." I said,  "I love yo-" and a loud and long 'Bip' cut me off. I was still holding his hand in mine while the nurses and doctors were running in the room towards my Dad. "You have to back off sweetie." one of the doctors told me. I let go of his hand and walked back. They were trying to bring my Dad back to life, but it was too late. He was gone. My Daddy was gone. He would never come back..

"I'm sorry hun, we did everything we could." the nurse told me. I was shocked. I didn't realised that my father was... dead. I didn't want to believe it. The doctors all came to talk to me and I went home. There was no way I could stay here any longer. I had no reasons to.

I walked in my house and Josh was there. "So, how is he?" Josh asked, "H-he.. He's gone." Josh was spechless, "He's never coming back." I broke down in Josh's arms when the last word came out of my mouth. "It's okay, Aly." Josh told me. I pulled out of our hug and looked at Josh, "It's not okay Josh, my Dad just died!" I screamed, but felt bad the second later, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scre-" he stopped me, "Don't apologize Aly, I understand. Everything will be okay, just like your Dad told you." he said, pressing his foreheard on mine.

I would miss my Daddy, for sure. But I know he would be watching my every steps. He would always be with me, maybe not next to me, but with me,

in my heart.
