5 years later
Alyson's POV
So, here we are. 5 years later. I'm 21 and Josh is 22. We have an amazing little girl called Maddie. She's 3 months old.
When I got out of the hospital after my big accident, Josh asked me to marry him. I said yes, obviously. I was only 17 at the time, but I didn't care. My depression is gone. I'm fine now. Josh too. We live a normal life now. We can enjoy every little things.
We still live in my Dad's house. I'm not ready to leave it yet. I miss my dad a lot. Everyday I think about him. It's hard, but I have Josh and Maddie to help me.
Josh and his mother are not talking anymore. They fought when we told her I was pregnant. She said we weren't ready and we should give it to adoption. Anyway, big bullshit. Now, Josh is mad at her and she haven't call him yet. She haven't see Maddie since she's born. But, Josh thinks it's better that way. He doesn't have the best relation with his mother and he doesn't want to deal with it in front of our girl.
My mom got out of the jail two months after she got it. Ben is still not talking to her. Me either. She has a life now. And so Ben and I. We learned to live without a mother. Sometimes, I miss her. I just wish I could trust her like I used to. But, I can't anymore.
We don't have any grand parents for Maddie. My dad is dead. Josh's dad too. And our mother are crazy. Oh god. Anyway, we have uncle Ben! He's the best uncle on earth. He's always there for me and Josh if we need help with the baby or just need a babysiter. Also, Ben has now a girlfriend. Ray. Yeah my brother is dating my best friend. They are just so perfect for each other.
They met 2 years ago, at Josh's birthday. They haven't saw each other for a long time and I don't know. It just worked I guess. They are still together. I don't think they'll ever leave the other. They are so in love, gosh.
About Kylie. Remember the 14 years old girl who got bullied? Yeah, well me and Josh took care of everything when I got out of the hospital. We changed school and gave her some tricks to stop self harm. She did it. She's not burning anymore! I'm so proud of her. We are still talking. Tom and Josh are close, so he's always home and Kylie come with him. She's now 19 years old and we are really close. We do everything together. She's addicted to Maddie. When Kylie is here, I can do whatever I want. The baby is in good hands.
So, that was my story. Sometime, life can be hard. But, we can't just give up like that. I was given this life because I'm strong enough to live it. So, that's what I did. I live my life the way I always wanted to. Without my dad, but I still live every single day like it was my last.
I'm married. I have the perfect child. Sometimes, I look at my scars and I'm proud of myself. I won. I was fighting with myself and I won. Even Josh thinks that.
When I think about all Josh did for me, it makes me happy. He was there for me since day one. I'll always remember the day I met him at school. Our first date. Our first kiss. And also, the cuts we shared. Now they aren't cuts, but scars.
Fading scars.
