"Good planning is important. I've also regarded a sense of humor as one of the most important things on a big expedition. When you're in a difficult or dangerous situation, or when you're depressed about the chances of success, someone who can make you laugh eases the tension."

Chapter 2:
"You're such an ass," I mutter.
Lucas and I are on our way to school. As usual, we are arguing about the music choice. "I want 103.7."
I whined and batted my eyes towards him. He glanced over and rolled his eyes.
"Darling, calm your tits. You'll be at school in like three minutes and I have a huge headache."
"Yeah those three minutes, on average, could contain a song, that I like," I kept making hand gestures like it was nothing," so music it is."
He sighed and didn't stop me from turning up the radio this time.
I blared the music, not caring if his headache got worse. He'd live.
We arrived at school with the last lyrics to Drifting by G-Eazy. He let out a breath of air when we shut the doors. "I am very happy that you finally shut up."
His expression fit his words; annoyed as hell.
We clambered through the main hallway, more me than him though, and turned into the side hallway containing the science classes.
"I have known you since I came out of my mom and I still do not understand how you manage to get through each and every day. I mean, you can barely walk down the hallway you're so clumsy."
He wraps his arm around me and parts to go into his first class. I laugh at him as he tells me to meet back up with him after first period.
I notice the bell is going to ring soon so I ran faster.
I turn one of the corners and ram right into a hard chest. I yell an ouch and end up falling on the floor same as the dude I had just crashed into.
We stand up and I see who I had knocked down.
I stood in awe at who it was. It was the guy from the movies. The very hot guy from the movies at that.
"Hey, you're the girl who I told to move last night," he stated as he fixed his hair.
I dusted myself off and rearranged my attire before smiling at his beautiful face and beginning a sentence," yes."
The principal came around the corner and he shoved me into the very convenient bathroom beside us. We both ended up in the guy's restroom.
"He can't see me." He whispered quietly I definitely felt his body heat as we leaned against the door. He was prominent and his body was flush against mine.
I pulled away from his warm body and opened the door.
The principal had turned the corner and vanished.
"Alright. Why did you shove me into a bathroom?"
My hand went straight to my hip, imagine that.
He stood against the hallway wall. "Well, you see, I don't like school, learning, or the stuck up teachers and students, like you, so I skip class to avoid you people. Or do you know what skipping is?"
His tone was snippy and sarcastic and made me want to rip the hairs from my head. I sighed and glared at him, gritting my teeth.
"And you suppose I like trash such as you?" I ask with a tone to match his harsh one from before.
