Chapter 40:

(Kerri's POV)

"Get your ass down here, Kerri!!" Lucas yells from the bottom of the stairs.

I pull my suitcases behind me and load the last of my stuff into the car. After three loads of my junk, I am tired as hell.

I run back inside to part with my mother and Hannah.

I hug my mother tightly and pull away," I will call everyday, I promise."

"And you promise to be careful and stay with Lucas anytime you can possible?" she adds her question.

I nod," yes, mom."

"I love you darling. Today is probably one of the best days of your life, make it count."

I give her one last quick hug," will do, Mom. Love you too."

I hug Hannah and tell her to stay out of trouble. Pfft, whatever. She's never listened to me, why would she now?

I wave bye to them and hop in the car with Lucas.

"Are you sure you're ready for college?" he laughs. He must've noticed my facial expression: nervous.

I nod," I sure am!"

Today better go right, however, if it doesn't then I guess tomorrow I will just have to strive to make it better.

"Wake up!" Lucas screams in my ear.

I slap him on the arm and straighten up in my seat.

"We're here. You ready for a rollercoaster ride?" he pipes up.

I shake my head," not really, but what choice do I have in complete honesty?"

It short but I wanted to fill these last chapters with bridges, just something to fill things in to the point where I want to start the second book. I feel like I should cry... they have met a milestone in their lives that just makes me feel so accomplished. I feel like Kerri's mom. Haha. Anyways, are you ready for book two? Hehe. If you guys vote and comment as much as you can then you will most definitely receive book two, chapter 41 today. Love you wonderful people. I honestly cannot thank you enough!!! Thank you for being so effing wonderful!!!! I dedicate a lot of my time to practicing my piano skills, drawing, and painting, but I work extra hard to be my beat when it comes to writing. I would write even if you guys decided this book sucked ass. I just love the way this book is playing out and just how wonderful it seems. I love writing so even if nobody read it or approved of it, I would enjoy writing it anyways, and would continue to publish. So those of you who enjoy my decent writing, you do not have to worry about me dropping this book. I love writing it too much!! Thank you for all you do to support me, even if it is commenting on a chapter or two or voting on a chapter. Thank you for the small stuff. You have to start small to get bigger.
