Me Without You

chapter one

Shit

I thought as my alarm continued to go off. That beep meant I have to actually move,
5:48 a.m. Friday, June 3rd

I look outside and see the end of a sunrise. I love everything about the sky and It's so pretty out today. I unlock my phone to see messages from a few friends, as well as Tyler, my boyfriend.

Tyler😍💘: good morning babygirl see you at school.

He never misses a morning, and we've been together for almost a year and a half. I don't know what I would do without him. I type a quick, but still cute response and continue to get ready for the day.

I drive to school, not without stopping at a local coffee shop. I order a cappuccino and drive the rest of the way to school.

I meet Tyler a little before first period in the parking lot. We talk and kiss and talk some more.

"We still on for tonight?" he asks.

"Well of course." I say nodding my head and looking up at him.

He responds by wrapping his arms around me and kissing the top of my head softly.

With the warning bell about to ring, he says goodbye, kisses me one more time, grabs his bag and heads off into the school. I wait a few minutes and do the same.

The day drags by and I count the hours until the weekend.

After my last class I head outside and find Tyler sitting on the hood of my car holding flowers. I smile, confused.
"What's the occasion?" I ask.

"You." he replies.

I kiss him for a few seconds then break off the kiss to accept the flowers.
"I love you" I smile at him.

"I love you too." he says back.

He stands up and starts walking slowly in the direction of his car,
"See you tonight, beautiful."

"Can't wait." I say, inspecting the flowers he gave me.
Roses.

I toss my bag in the passenger seat and place the roses down where they won't get damaged and drive home, I have to get ready for later.
