Me Without You

chapter two

I pick out a little black tank top and some cute denim shorts. I couldn't wait for tonight, Tyler and I have been planning this date for the longest time, it has to be perfect.

I can't wait.

I do my makeup light, but still defined and curl my straight brown hair. I throw on the necklace he gave to me for our six-month a long time ago. I go with white converse for shoes.

I sat there thinking for a few minutes. I really do want to be with him forever, Tyler makes everything so much better and I don't know what I would do without him.

I grab my keys and walk out the door. I drive to Tyler's and walk up to his front door. I knock and his mom answers.

"Cassidy, how nice to see you."

"you too," I say as she hugs me.

"Tyler is in the back you can go through right down there." she pointed to the stairs to the back yard.

"Thank you." I made my way slowly down the stairs mesmerized by the decorations everywhere.

There was a screen hung from the back of the house with a projected set up on top of his pickup truck. The trees were strung with lights and there were paper bags with candles inside lined up around the truck.

Tyler was laying in the back of the truck facing the screen. The trunk of the car was filled with layers and layers of blankets piled in with more pillows than an average person has in their entire house. I was amazed, by outdoor movie date I did not think this was what he meant.

I walk over to him slowly, him and me both smiling. I was so happy I just climbed in the back of the car and he pulled me into a hug.

"Surprise princess" he whispered into my hair.

I was too shocked to speak, I was so happy I felt like crying. He's too good to me.

He released me from the hug and told me to wait there while he went to get some snacks. I looked around a little more still in awe. It must have taken him hours to do all this. He's amazing is all I can think.

He comes back with some popcorn,  sodas and some candy. I take the food from him and he reaches up to the equipment on top of the car, he turns on the projector and sticks a movie in.

"What are we watching?" I ask him.

"You'll see" he says in a mischievous way, all while smirking at me.

"Fine" I reply smiling at him.

We watch the sun set from the back of the truck. It's so beautiful, I can't even begin to describe it, but this particular time when the night and day collided it was perfect, straight out of a painting.

After it was darker, Tyler started the movie and it turned out to be the breakfast club, my favorite movie. He was surely aware of this because right after it started I told him how happy I was and he responded with "I knew you would be."

He held me tighter than he ever has all night.

It was the most amazing night of my life.

When the movie ended it was almost ten. I told him I had to drive home, He kissed me so passionately I wanted to know the meaning behind it.

"Cass, I love you. So much. I want you forever and always. You're the most beautiful, amazing, perfect girl I've ever known. Goodbye Cassidy, I love you.

"I love you so much, thank you for tonight, goodnight." I told him. We kissed again and he let me go after he hugged me one last time.

I got home and I went straight to sleep still in a dream like state after an amazing night.
