29. Come cuddle

*cough cough* urgh my heads pounding. I sit up and look at the clock, 12:27am. Carefully getting up i try not to wake joe and go through into the en-suite to find some pain killers. Taking two i gulp them down and look into the mirror, I couldn't have looked worse.

A chill travels down my spine and i quietly leap back into bed wrapping myself in the large white duvet, trying to get some sleep.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP (alarm clock)

Groggily opening up my eyes i see Joe wide awake next to me. "Morning beautiful" he says and kisses me on the forehead, i give him a weak smile. "Are you alright?" He says more concerned now, "yeah, well i just feel really sick, it started last night". "You should have woken me up" he replies softly wrapping an arm around me.

"You looked so peaceful" i whispered, "doesn't mean you couldn't wake me" he chuckled. "I've only got one meeting today for an hour at 11:00 then we can watch movies when i get back, sound good?" he asks, "sounds perfect" i say *a-choo* "bless me". "Here" Joe passes me a box of tissues and i thank him. "I just need to get change and then i'll bring home lunch, what do you fancy?" He asks.

"Erm, just soup would be good" i say trying not to cough too much, he nods and leaves me in the big comfy bed.

12:17pm
*knock knock* i look up out of the covers and see joe holding a bowl, "here you go" he says handing me the bowl of tomato soup as i sit up in bed. "Thank you" i say and kisses him on the cheek, don't want to pass anything. "I just need to answer some emails, i'll be downstairs if you need me" i smile and he heads back downstairs.

I carefully sip the soup from my spoon as it is hot and i wasn't that hungry. I manage to get most of it down me anyway and call for joe. "Yes" he says popping his head into our room. "Come cuddle" i say stretching my arms out towards him. With no hesitation he slips in next to me and wraps his arms around me, best feeling I've had all day.

"How was the meeting" i ask him, "you know the usual type, it wasn't long and we got plenty of good ideas" he replies. "Good" i say. We stay silent just embracing each other. "Shall we go watch those movies" joe says, "i wanna stay here, with you" I reply with giant puppy eyes that i know he can't resist.

"How about i bring the movies upstairs and we can watch them like this?" He says with a little chuckle. I smile and nod in response, he quickly pecks me on the nose and goes downstairs to retrieve the movies. I lay there on my own for a thew minutes thinking of how lucky i am to have someone like Joe around. He comes back into the room with the movies and pops Love Rosie in the dvd player.

He takes his shirt off and put on his pj bottoms, a site i wasn't complaining about. "Hey" he says chuckling catching me staring at him, "hey i'm not complaining seeing you shirtless" I giggle. He slips into bed next to me and opens his arms to let me cuddle with him, he plants a small kiss on top if my head then presses play on the remote.

Have to say this is the best sick day I have had in my life!
