12. Night drive

Authors note: I am currently traveling to paris on a coach and it is really early but some how I am wide awake and nearly everyone on this coach is asleep so I thought I would update this little imagines book, I got the inspiration for this imagine from the lovely scene in front of my and I don't know why but I love driving in the dark with calming music playing its just the best. I'm not sure if you wanted to know that but I thought I would tell you all the inspiration behind this imagine :)

It was around 10pm and me and Joe were just laid on the sofa bored. I stare at the blank white ceiling just thinking about what we could do at this time of night. Suddenly Joe stands up, "come on" he says and starts to walk out of the apartment. "Where we going" I asked as I get my keys and purse locking the door behind us.

"Were just gonna drive around" he says simply and i huff a little. Whats the point in driving around in the dark I think to myself as I get into the passengers seat of Joe's car. We start to drive and I take my shoes off and lift my feet up on the seat. Joe puts in a CD and it plays Old shoes (song is linked at the beginning) which relaxes me a little bit. Once getting past all the busy streets of London Joe turns down a quiet looking valley which had fields either side of it and a hill at the other end of the road.

It felt like I was back home in the country side, we had driven really far out of London so I had never been here before, I look to Joe who is smiling to himself, cute. I put one of my hands on top of one of his and he gives me a quick smile before turning back to the road. I loved how this moment felt, I was warm with the most handsome man on earth to the left of me and the deep dark night sky lit  up by little tiny stars to the right on me, perfect.

We pull up on top of the hill which looks out onto London. "It's magical" I say and I can feel Joe staring at me, I turn and stare into his enchanting blue eyes and he leans in to kiss me and I kiss back. "I love you Y/N" he's says when he pulls away, "I love you to" I reply. I rest my head on his shoulder and stare at the night sky, he slowly laces our hands together and I peck his cheek.

The song that was on the Cd changed to everything has changed by taylor swift and ed sheeran. I heard Joe start to sing it quietly and I joined in smiling all the way through it. "Y/N" joe said softly which made my heart melt, i hum in response, "You look stunning tonight" he's says, "why, I'm wearing a cardigan, leggings  and no makeup" I ask confuse. He chuckles to himself before saying "you are naturally stunning in every way", i look up to him and he's already smiling down at me.

I reach up and kiss his soft lips, we carry on the kiss until I pull away to tease him, he pouts at me and I just blow him a kiss in response. We decided that we better get home now and drive back to the apartment.

When we get there, I reflect on that lovely moment we just created and smile to myself. I walk downstairs to find Joe already in bed and I climb in next to him taking off my cardigan and sleeping in a vest shirt and leggings. "Joe?" I whisper hoping he is still awake, he hums in response, "We should do that more often" I whisper again.

He pulls me closer to him, cuddling me, before he softly whisper "Definitely" in my     ear. He plants a small kiss on my forehead and falls to sleep. I lay there in his arms thinking, driving at night is now my favourite thing to do.
