31. Something I Need

Twirling around the piece of hair that had fallen out of ponytail I trail down the empty London street alone. One ear bud stuffed into my right ear the other left bouncing off of my chest every time i stepped forward. I just come out of an argument with Joe and I needed to clear my head, it was a bit silly now I think about it.

I continued walking not having any idea of were i was going, when i heard footsteps behind me. Thinking nothing of it I continued walking down the street the same, but the footsteps got faster and i began to panic a little trying to push the thoughts of murderers and drug dealers out of my head. I felt someones presence behind me and i got ready to run but the figure began to sing,

"I had a dream the other night, of how we only get one life..

Immediately recognising it as Joe's I turned around to him taking out my ear bud staring him dead in the eye.

Woke me up right after two, stayed awake and stared at you, so I wouldn't loose my mind... He continued to sing

I shrugged and continued walking unsure of what he was trying to do. He ran up by my side and began singing in my ear again. He knew I loved his voice so this was unfair, I'm supposed to be angry with him. I bit my lip trying not to give him the satisfaction of a smile.

And I had the week that came from hell, and yes i know that you could tell...

His singing began to get louder and I turned onto a busier street knowing he doesn't like singing that much in front of strangers. But it still didn't stop him

But your like the net under the ledge, when i go flying off the edge, you go flying off as well...

He took a dramatic pause still by my side earning the attention of people surrounding us. I suddenly become very self aware

And if we only die one i wanna die with...

He did another dramatic pause, i stop and look him in the eyes searching them of any resistance of singing to me on the London street.

You've got something I need, in this world full of people theres one killing me, and if we only die once i wanna die with you...

He pointed at me as he sang and I couldn't help but smile, i'd given into him. I couldn't stay mad at him for long anyway i loved him too much to do that.

We had created quite a group of people surrounding us as I stood listening to Joe singing to me. I can't believe he is.

And if we only die once...

Everyone around us applauded Joe but just kept looking at me with an apologetic look. With saying anything I swung my arms around his neck kissing him softly. Everyone start clapping louder and a couple wolf whistles could be heard from the group of strangers. Thats when I decided there is no one else i'd ever want to be with than Joe.
