Over the next few months It had been very trying for the group of witches Prue, Phoebe and Piper..
It all started just a month before when Leo orbed into the manor telling the sisters the worst news he could ever tell them.
He told them there was a new source of all evil.
The source of all evil is the sisters most mortal enemy. Usually those who are powerful enough manage to seize the throne for themselves and take charge of the underworld.
But what is actually supposed to happen is the source should have an heir to the throne so that no other demon can take over it for themselves.
Anyone who does actually take over the throne has a number one target.. The Charmed ones.. Piper.. Prue and Phoebe.
The source had ordered the triad, Who were his little group of minions if you like to find a way to kill the sisters..
But when it came to it Cole could not do it. Because he had fallen in love with her.
The triad and the other demons mocked him.. Cole eventually vanquished the triad but they always find ways to return..
The other demons were always to this day disgusted that a Demon had fallen in love with a witch.. It was not allowed.
Just like it was not allowed when Piper and Leo fell in love.. A white lighter who heals the injured falls in love with a witch was definitely not allowed but eventually they managed to let love prevail and let them be together.. No matter how hard the Elders tried to split them up.
The elders are in charge of all the white lighters and all magic. The Good and bad side made an agreement years and years ago to protect all magic.. Which is why people like the cleaners are employed who erase people's memories if they witness such magic or learn demons and witches actually exist.
In some cases the cleaners don't actually show up. Because the witches aka our heroes The Charmed ones have innocents to protect and they use all means necessary using their powers to protect them.
But back to the news that Leo had told them.
It has shocked them greatly.. The girls had battled the source many times for him to either come back from the dead or there was a new source to replace him.
Prue had smiled with confidence at the time. "Don't worry.. We'll get him.. Again."
Out of all the sisters Prue was the strongest and most confident so it was no surprise when Prue bravely fought against Shax who had been hired by the source to kill The Charmed ones.

Shax was powerful but not powerful enough to kill all three charmed ones.. He had managed to kill Prue Halliwell and left knowing that the battle was over and it wasn't worth attempting to kill them now..especially not while he was weak now himself.
Leo had arrived in the aftermath of the battle seeing all three girls on the floor knocked out after the blast of Shax's vanquish.

Leo healed Phoebe but then he was faced with a choice. He decided to heal Piper and then after he attempted to heal Prue but it was too late.. She was already dead.
