When the bus arrived at the docks, Colette was unsure what to do now. She got out of the bus and looked around at her surroundings.

She saw several boats and each boat was bound for somewhere or other. But the question was how as she supposed to choose?.

She closed her eyes. "Just choose will you woman.."  She decided to point to each boat and do eeny meeny miny mo.

Her hand pointed north at the boat in the middle. She ran to the boat as if her life depended on it.

Colette walked onto the boat and spoke to the Captain.

"Excuse me?.. Where is this boat headed?."

The Captain turned around and looked at her with his scraggy beard and smiled showing off his front two teeth that were missing. "San Francisco of course!."

Colette rolled her eyes at him. "No.. really where are you going?."

The Captain grinned. "San Francisco."

Colette sighs "Alright.. I'll take your word for it but I don't have any money."

The Captain nodded. "I can't just let you on my boat then sweetheart.. Times are hard and Time is money."

She found herself escorted off the boat by two butch security guards. She watches as the security guards go back to the boat.

She sighs desperately wondering what she should do now. Should she try another boat?.

Suddenly she had an idea. She waited until she heard the boats whistle telling everyone it was time to go. "All aboard for San francisco!"

As the boat left its port, Colette knew she would have to be quick. She ran down the jetty as fast as she could and when she reached the end she jumped a big almighty leap.

Colette could feel her grip on the back of the boat weakening so she took a deep breath and used all her strength to pull her up.

She managed to get on board breathlessly but this was no time to rest. She had to hide but where?.

Colette looks around and carefully but quietly opens several doors until she finds the door she wanted.

The door she had opened led down the stairs and in front of her was a blue blanket covering containers.

She realized this was the brig underneath the boat and she decided to hide into one of the containers before someone came.

She tried the first crate but it was shut tight and she couldn't open it. She looked around for something to open it with.

On the floor not ffar from where the crate stood, she saw a bunch of abandoned rickety tools. She picked up the screw driver to ty and force the crate open but it was no good.

She sighs defeatedly but then tries the crate sitting next to it. She finally succeeded in opening the crate and the gap was big enough to climb into.

When she was comfy inside the crate, she lifted the lid to cover up the gap.

She smiled in the dark happy she was on her way to a new start and a new adventure but she just hoped that this journey was a smooth one and there would be no sea sickness involved or worse the boat would become shipwrecked.

She shakes her head and told herself to stop being silly.. It wasn't like they were gonna crash into an ice burg at full speed like the titanic was it?.

She closed her eyes and took a nap trying to enjoy her new journey.
