Chapter 20

Cole paces his penthouse trying to think of Ideas. "Think..Think..Think."

He wanted to find a way to keep Colette on side so that she would keep quiet about him being a demon..

He knew that she had promised not to say anything but how much could he trust her?.

Being a demon for the best part of half a century, He finds it hard to trust people never mind his own kind.

His mother always taught him to suppress his human half but with being half a human comes emotions..before he met Phoebe he never knew he had any of these emotions and Phoebe brought them out of him.

But he had this nagging doubt in his head that something was different about Colette.

Could she now Blackmail him or worse..tell Phoebe anyway to vanquish him?.

He leaned his head against the wall and banged it hard several times. "Stupid!..Stupid..Why did I have to go and tell her I was a Demon for?."

In anger he threw a fireball at the opposite wall and it bounced off the wall into his hand. He squeezes the fireball and it disintegrated.

All of a sudden it was like all of his prayers were answered.

A man was standing on the balcony waiting for Cole to notice him.

Cole flicked his hand to the right and the balcony doors opened.

Standing before him was a man.. A man with a Trident.

Cole frowns. "Who are you?."

The man moves his trident from his right to his left hand. "I am Poseidon..God of the seas."

Cole sighs. "What do you want?.." He wasn't shocked to receive a visit from poseidon.. He had dealt with Mermaids and Vampires..It was only a matter of time before he met a god. "

Poseidon smiles. "I believe I may be able to help you..with your little problem."

Cole turns to shut the balcony doors and sits down at his desk. "And What do you know about my little problem?."

Poseidon smiles in reply. "Enough..I have been watching everything unfold from My realm and Olympus after all."

Cole leans in against the table. "I'm listening."

Poseidon leans his Trident against Cole's desk. "You want her to keep quiet about yourself being a demon..so why don't you give her the only thing we can both suggest?."

Cole smiles. "Which is?..."

Poseidon grins. "Power..Great Power."

Cole shakes his head. "I don't know..She doesn't seem like the type to want power never mind Dark Magic."

Poseidon shakes his head. "You misunderstand me.. I don't mean Dark Magic.. I mean Magic in general..Give her a sense of purpose."

Suddenly The Seer glistens into the room.

"Not Interrupting anything am I?."

Cole shakes his head. "Of course not Seer..As usual you're right on time... This is Poseidon..He poses a plan for Colette."

The Seer raises her eyebrow. "What kind of plan?."

Poseidon picks up his trident and walks towards The Seer. "To Give her Great Power..."

The Seer nodded impressed. "And where do you propse we find this Great power."

Poseidon chuckles. "Where do you think?..It's all around us.. All we need is some people either willing to give their powers or.."

Cole nodded now on his wavelength of thinking. "Or we give her the ability to copy their powers and to make her think she is one of them."

Poseidon pulls a chair from Cole's dining table across the floor to his desk. "Exactly.. Now you get it..But first things first we need to figure all this out."

The Seer gasps suddenly.

Her eyes whiten and glaze over slightly.

She witnesses Colette in her past wanting more for her life and escaping her hometown to come to San francisco and then she witnesses Colette walking along the beach. Until finally she witnesses Colette in the future with Dark magic and standing by Cole's side when he becomes the source.

Cole gets up concerned. "Well Seer What did you see?."

The Seer's eyes return to normal and she looks at Cole with a smile. "I see Colette wanting so much more than being a normal girl..She lacks ambition and purpose."

She continues. "I saw her in the future accepting this great power." She looks at Poseidon "Firstly too start this off you need to claim her as a demigod."

Cole frowned. "Why?.. "

The seer shrugs. "To gain great power..One must start small.. In my Premonition I sensed that being a demigod would just be the start for Colette..Eventually she will have more and more powers."

Cole walks around umming and arring about this plan. "Yes of course.. but only if we find someone willing to give their powers and for that we need to kill them."

The Seer shakes her head. "No my lord it may not come to that."

Cole raises his eyebrow. "You have a different plan?."

The Seer smiled. "All it takes is a few choice words of Dark Magic and the Grimoire and she will have the ability to copy people's powers."

Cole nodded. "If that's all it takes do it."

The Seer nodded. "I will meet you in the ceremony area in the underworld." She bows and glistens out.

Cole looks at Poseidon. "You should go too.. Claim her as a Demigod and send the monsters afer her..Eventually she will have to be with your other children."

Poseidon nodded. "Yes.. She will be safe in Camp halfblood.."

Cole smiles. "I don't care for what it is called or who your other children are..Just get the plan done..Then I can finally get the ball rolling."
