Chapter 23

"You hoe bag! What makes you think I'll forgive you so easily!" Lucas snarls and turns his back on me.

"Look I know what I did was unforgivable but you have to understand I had a reason to leave without saying anything! " I beg

Lucas faces me. "You were gone for almost two months Maddie! You just randomly disappeared with no reason and getting a sudden text from you one day saying "I'll be going away for a while and I won't be able to talk or see you during that time I'll hope you'll do well in school without me."  Was suppose to ease my misery?!" He shouts. He's hurt.

"But I'm here now! I'll hang out with you twice more times than how we usually do! I don't care what I have to do for you to forgive me but I just can't stand the fact that you won't forgive me! " I frown

"So tell me while you suddenly left and I'll forgive you." He crosses his arms.

Crap.

I sigh." You know I can't tell you. "

"Why not? We always tell each other everything! " he questions

I just need to make up a lie...

"I was in Utah with my relatives..a family crisis was going on and me Karen, and Frank had to suddenly fly over there. Karen didn't want me on my phone at the time sooo..." I rub my fingers together hoping he'll buy it.

"Oh I see...I'm sorry. "

"It's ok. " I reassure him. "I really missed you Lucas." I pull him into a hug relieved he forgave me.

"I missed you too mals."

Not having Yo-kun in geometry feels different.
I finally feel free from the pitch black eyes always darting my back every time  I sit down here.
Yo-kun has been avoiding me  since I came back to school. He's also been avoiding everyone and seems to be on edge. No one knows what's up with him. He's also been avoiding Izumi who's grown some more. He looks like a five year old now.

I slouch in my chair. Why did he get so mad about me going to back to school? He knows I'd do anything for Izumi and love him to death but that doesn't mean I'd give up school to stay home and raise him when he has a father to do that too.
I still don't understand why he snapped at me though. Segi promised that he'll try to talk to him and I hope he succeeds.
I'm totally behind in all my classes I completely zoned out during my teacher's lecture because I have no idea what we're learning. Getting my grades up is going to be a hassle.

I unlock the door and throw my backpack on the couch. I forgot how school can get me so exhausted.
I hear Segi coming downstairs.

"Did you talk to him?" I ask

He shrugs. "He won't talk. He's a mess Maddie. His room is completely destroyed and literally almost clawed my eyes out. Something must be really bothering him." He says concerned.

I sigh "What can we do if he won't talk to anybody?"

"I have an idea."

We stand outside Yo-kun's banged up door with Izumi in my arms.

"You sure this is going to work?" I gulp

"He wouldn't hurt him, I'm sure." He reassures me. He opens the door slightly and I peek into the room and see Yo-kun sitting on the floor corner of the wall. His room is a pigsty, everything is completely torn apart even the floors. I put Izumi down and he excitedly runs into the room and stands in front of his father.

I watch Yo-Kun look up at him and quickly look away. "Go with ur mom Izumi." He commands.

Izumi crawls into his lap and cuddles him like a happy puppy.
"Izumi did you not hear me? Go with your mom." He slightly growls.
Izumi isn't intimidated by him. He lets a giggle and kisses him on the cheek. Yo-kun's eyes widened like in shock, he looks down at our smiling Izumi and the expression on his face is frustration? Sadness?

"Why did you do that?" He asks

"Cause you're my dada, love you." Izumi struggles out the words but he pronounced them perfectly.

Yo-kun sits still. Not knowing how to respond or act. After what seems like forever he pats his little blonde head.

"You shouldn't." He whispers

I sharp pain hits my chest. Why would he tell his son he shouldn't love him? This isn't how it was suppose to be! We should all be overjoyed and happy in love! Why is it turning out like this!?

"Segi I know you're outside my door. Take Izumi  I don't want to look at him right now. " Yo-kun calls out.

Segi does as asked and he shuts the door behind him.
"I think we just made it worse." Segi sighs as he bounces Izumi in his arms.

"Please don't give up trying. " I plead.

"Don't worry love I won't." He rubs my head.

YO-KUN

I'm pretty sure it's around 3 a.m. Right now. I haven't slept in days. I'm confused on what I should do about this whole Izumi situation.

Just follow your orders and kill him!

I can't!

He told me loved me today and I instantly got a weird feeling in my chest, he has to stay away from me. I can't hold him knowing that I have to squeeze his throat to mush.

Agh! Why can't I just do it?!

I smash my fists to the wall in frustration and I hear Segi walk in the room and lock the door.

"You shouldn't be making so much noise you'll wake up the boy. " he groans

"Leave me alone. " I growl not facing him

"I think it's time you start telling me what's been bothering you these past few days. " he cocks an eyebrow up.

"What makes you think something bothering me? " I ask

"You're lashing out on everyone and tearing this half of the house apart! It's not your usual behavior. So start talking." He demands.

Damn it.

"Fine." I sigh "After the experiment we ran with Izumi, Donovan believes that he's getting stronger and more intelligent by the day and more accidental incidents will happen putting people at risk. He'll be too strong for even the facility to handle and he claims he'll eventually kill one of us. He won't be able to live outside or inside the walls of the facility."

"So what did he suggest you'd do?" He asks

I pause. "He wants me to kill him....by the end of the month. " I answer

His body turns stiff as a rock and his eyes are big as saucers.

"I don't want to Segi. But I have to! "

"Don't you bloody hell tell me that you actually agreed to terminating your own flesh and blood! " he growls

"I can't reason against them. "

"Maddie will kill you and I will have no problem helping her out! " he spits

"It's not personal I just have to-"
He grabs me by the throat and pins me against the wall and I feel my shoulders crack.
He's pissed. Foam is leaking from his mouth and his white eyes look more milkier.

"If you so lay a hand on him I swear I will have no problem ripping out your heart from your chest! " he growls and foam hits my face.

"Same will go with you if you get in my way." I reply

He puts his hands on my shoulders and starts to crush them to mush and storms out of the room leaving me on the floor unable to use my arms.

Segi please don't be idiot and get in my way for your sake.

Yay another chapter! Sorry if it's short final exams are coming up and I haven't had much time to write.
