Chapter 26

"Girl You like fine in that dress!" Lucas whistles at me and I playfully punch his shoulder.

"I don't think green goes with me though. " I stand in front of the mirror and twirl in my dress.

I'm not really feeling it.

"You didn't like the other 24 dresses you tried on even though you looked hot in all of them" he rolls his eyes "But maybe this might be the one." He hands me a royal blue dress and I close the dressing room door and put it on.

Prom is in a week, I know it's stupid to be going when I'm still a sophomore but for some reason I want to go. Lucas agreed because he got asked out by a senior and I hope the boys will go too since they are in the senior class.

"So what do you think? " I ask Lucas
As I twirl in my dress.

"Dude. You look fucking gorgeous!! This is the one! "

I look in the mirror and I totally feel super confident in it. I honestly feel beautiful in it.  This is the one.

"Okay! " I squeal

"Now that we finally got that down we can finally shop for me! " Lucas jokes.

I pay for the dress and head to another store to have Lucas tailored for his tux. I sit down and watch him pick out a suit.
My phone starts vibrating in my purse and it's a call from Yo-kun's house.

"Hello?"

"Where are you."

Hello to you too Mr.Grumps

"At the mall why?"

"When are you coming home?"

"Uhh soon why? "

"Izumi needs his mother. Just come back as soon as possible."

He hangs up before I can speak.

Ugh damnit!

I get up from my chair and start to collecting my things. "Hey Lucas sorry to be a douche but I need to go I'm needed else where, I'll take the bus home. "

"Aww poo! Ok then see you later! " Lucas shouts out as I walk out the store and now onto my way home.

I unlock the front doors with the house key Nora gave me and as I open the door I'm showered with hugs and kisses by my son.

"Mommy I missed you!! " he cries cheerfully

I kiss him on the cheek "I missed you too sweetie."

"It's about time you got here." Yo-kun calls out from the couch opening a can of Sprite and spitting it out after his first sip. "This shit is bubbly and weird....I'll stick with water." And puts it down.

"What? Can I not go out anymore? I do have the freedom to go out you know. "

"I don't care you should be here with Izumi at all times. " he growls

Seriously. what the hell is wrong with him?

"I'm not gonna have this stupid argument with you. " I roll my eyes and grab Izumi hands and walk out of the room and into the kitchen and take my shopping bags with me.

"Are you hungry? " I ask him

"No thanks dad already fed me."

"Oh I see." I say quietly

I really hate this..

"So what did you buy mommy?" He asks

"Well mommy just bought herself a dress for prom. " I smile and pull the dress out of the bag and his lips make a cute "o" shape.
