Chapter 6

Today in lunch they are serving two cheeseburgers with green beans and a pack of apple slices on the side.
I grab the pack of Apple slices and toss everything else away.

I bet the cheeseburgers don't even have real meat in it.

Lucas is already sitting at our table when I got there and he seems distracted.

" What's wrong? " I ask

" Have you seen those new transfer students around school?! "

" Transfer students? "

Is he talking about the tall boy?

" Yea! One is in my chemistry class and the dude has horns coming out of his head!! "

" Horns?! "

How strange.

" Yea! And they are actually real! He's such a weirdo too! He keeps flirting with all the girls in class. "

" What about the other student? "

" I haven't seen him yet but other kids have and say  he looks scary as hell! They said he has black eyes! Why would he tattoo his eyes at such a young age?! "

" Where are they from? "

" Nobody knows! "

I cup my hands over my face and trying to process all of this information. Two guys transfer to our school today, they both have abnormal features on them. That can only mean two things. They either like cosplaying or from H.M.E!
But even if they were from there they obviously wouldn't come out and say they're from there because it's top secret, but they must have came here for some reason. But for what?

Even if they did come from H.M.E. which I highly doubt, would I know them? Would that mean the facility shut down? Did they either escaped or got set free? I don't know.

Well I've never met a guy with black eyes before.. But I did know a boy with horns.
I stood up from my chair shocked on what I just thought. Lucas jumps from his chair,startled from my reaction.

" Mads you ok? "

I knew a boy with horns! But it couldn't possibly be the same boy. Maybe it can? I don't know. Maybe?

" uh- yea! Sorry "
Embarrassed I sit back in my chair.

" Lucas, the boy with the horns do you know what his next class is?! " I ask impatiently

" Why are you suddenly curious about this creep? You know him or something? "

Before I was transferred out I signed a contract to never say a word about H.M.E to people otherwise I'll get thrown back in along with the person I revealed H.M.E to. I never told anyone, not even Lucas, the only people who know are Karen and Frank.

Crap think of a lie quick!

" Course not! Just wanna know if what you say about him is true! "

" Well I did peek over his schedule I think it's geometry in Mrs. Goldfirch class. "

I check my phone and I only have 10 minutes before lunch is over, if he's new here he'd probably left the cafeteria early to look for this class.
I bolt out of my chair and make a dash to the door.

" Thanks Lucas! "

His class is on the second floor of the school so I run up the stairs and run into the 800 hallway where his class would be.
