My weekend started off horrible. Jake wouldn't give me a chance to apologize. I should have never said those things about Mom and Dad. I made everything worst. Now he hates me. I would hate me too if I was him.

That night when we ate dinner at the big dinner table, Jake sat across from me and not once did he look at me. In fact, he didn't look at anyone, his eyes stayed glued onto his plate. Jake didn't even eat his food, he just moved it around the plate.

I wasn't hungry either. I ate some of the lasagna then asked if I could be excused. I didn't leave my room for the rest of the night.

Saturday wasn't much better either. I stayed cooped up in my room doing nothing. The only time I left out was to get me something to eat. By the way, I have my own bathroom so I don't have to leave my room to go to the bathroom.

My room had all the normal stuff that a guest bedroom would have. A bed, a dresser, nightstands, and a closet which happens to be huge. The walls are painted white, boring, I know.

I was just laying on my bed looking up at the boring white ceiling when someone knocked on my door. "What?" I said flatly.

"Well aren't you grouchy today." Elilah said coming into my room. Her hair was up in a messy bun and she was wearing black leggings and a red shirt that read 'Kiss and Tell'.

"What time is it?" I asked. My phone was on my nightstand and I didn't feel like reaching for it. I know, I'm so lazy.

Elilah checked her phone then said, "It's almost six thirty."

I didn't know it was this late. I guess I was just too fascinated with my boring ceiling. "Why is my room, you know, so boring?" I asked blankly.

She started looking around my room. "Yeah, it is boring. We could repaint it and decorate it sometime if you want to."

"Sure, anything is better than this plain old white. Well, maybe not anything." I said thinking about a nasty green color.

"So, what do you think about going to a new school?" Elilah asked.

"I don't know, I never had to be the new kid." I said sitting up and crossing my legs. "When do I start?"

"Monday."

"Monday?!" I just got here yesterday. Why do I have to start school so early? I'm not ready. And I know that Jake isn't ready either.

"Yup, Monday. My mom registered you and Jake in school this morning." Elilah said looking through my clothes.

"What school am I going to?" I asked.

Elilah picked up my orange shirt that had pictures of musical notes on it and the quote, 'Without music life would be a mistake'. Then she put it back and said, "Rosewood High School, our school colors are purple, black, and silver. And our mascot is a raven. How much more goth can our school get?"

"I like those colors." Then I remembered yesterday she said that she was going to explain something about Dakota to me. "So, what were you trying to tell me about Dakota yesterday?"

"Please, please don't tell me you like him." Elilah said acting like she was gagging.

"No, of course not. You told me that you were going to fill me in on everything." I said watching Elilah breathe a sigh of relief.

She picked up a pair of my black skinny jeans and said, "We wear the same size, that's good. What size shoes do you wear?" she said getting distracted by my clothes.

"Six and a half, now back to the topic. Tell me about Dakota." I said.

"He's a player. He doesn't care about your feelings, he just cares about what you can give him. He says he doesn't go out with Brittany for her body but that's bullshit." she said trying on my purple converse. "Perfect fit."
