So comment on it if you think it needs improvement and I'll try to do something to make it better. If you guys think that it's just too horrible, I understand, I'll just stop posting more. But if you guys think it's great then AWESOME!!!

"Wake up! Wake up!" I heard a familiar voice yell at me, "We're gonna be late for school. "My eyes shot open and I sat up as quickly as possible to find Jake, my little brother standing over me.
I turned to look at my clock sitting on my night stand. It was already seven twenty-five and I had ten minutes to get Jake to his bus and to get to my bus. "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" I asked after seeing that he had all his clothes on ready to go.
"Why didn't you have your alarm on?" he replied. I glared at him and told him to wait downstairs. I ran to my bathroom and brushed my teeth as fast as I could. I put my hair in a quick ponytail. I usually wear my hair down but I was in a rush and didn't feel like taking the time to comb it.
I picked out a purple t-shirt and some jeans out of my drawer to put on. I quickly slipped on my purple converse, which are my favorite shoes. I gathered all of my notebooks and binders off my desk and stuffed them in my back pack then swung it over my shoulder. I put my phone in my pocket, grabbed my jacket and my purse ready to leave.
And right when I was leaving my room I remembered that we didn't have school today. It was teacher something day at every school in the county. I dropped all of my stuff on my bed and ran down the stairs. Jake was in the living room sitting on the couch patiently waiting for me.
That is why I like Jake. He is the most mature eight year old I know, sometimes. Smart too. "Jakey, I just remembered that we don't have school today." I said.
"I politely asked you to stop calling me that, I'm not a baby anymore." he snapped at me.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Did you eat yet?" I asked walking toward the kitchen. I was starving, sometimes I would think something was wrong with me because I could eat so much and not gain weight.
"No, are you about to cook something?" he asked turning around on the couch.
"Yeah." I said taking the eggs and bacon out of the refrigerator.
"Um...Can we go out to eat instead?"
I turned around fast, "What? You don't like my cooking? You eat it all the time when mom isn't here in time to cook dinner. Speaking of mom, where is she? I don't think she had to go to work today."
"I do like your cooking, just not when you're cooking breakfast, it doesn't taste right," he said not looking directly at me, "And mom and dad went to Montana for something."
"And how exactly do you know that?" I asked putting the eggs and bacon back in the refrigerator.
Jake took off his book bag and jacket then walked in the kitchen and took a seat at the counter. "I heard mom talking on the phone about it last night and the note that's on the refrigerator."
"What note?" I said turning around and there it was stuck, under a Mickey Mouse magnet we got from Disney World last summer.
I took it down and read it aloud, "Dear Jamie and Jake, Your dad and I had to fly to Montana for your aunt, she's having her baby in a couple of hours." She has ten kids, right? I thought to myself. "But we will be back first thing tomorrow morning. We'll bring pictures. Love, mom. P.S. if you two behave yourselves we'll take a trip to Miami for winter break. Love, dad."
