It turns out that I have most of all my classes with Anthony. I have first, second, third, and fifth period with him. English Lit. is first period, Orchestra is second, Mathematics is third, Chorus is fourth, and Physical Education (PE) is fifth.

I'm fine with my schedule but I don't know why I have chorus. The only time I sing is when I'm alone or with my friends or doing little concerts for my parents. Well, 'did' little concerts for my parents.

"I don't want to go in there. Everyone is going to stare at me." I said. Anthony and I were standing in front of class 532. That's Mr.Randell's class and sooner or later I was going to have to walk in there.

This is why I hate being late to class. Even if they know you, if you walk into class late, everyone will stare at you. Especially if the door is closed.

"Everyone will stare at me too." Anthony said trying to comfort me.

I sighed, "But that's different. Everyone knows you, so if you go in late people will just look to see who came into class. But since I'm the new girl, people will be staring at me because they don't know me. I bet they will even whisper things about me." I tried to look in the class but the window on the door was covered with sheets of white copy paper. The teachers did that at my old school, too.

"Well, we can't stand out here forever." And without warning, Anthony opened the door and walked in the class room. He looked back and saw that I wasn't following him. He came back, grabbed my arm and pulled me into the classroom.

Just like I predicted, everyone was staring. All the desks were facing the front of the class. The white board had writing on it, and the projector was on showing a PowerPoint about a book.

I heard a guy say, "That's the new girl I was telling you about." Then another guy said, "You were right, she is hot." The whole class was talking about me now. Probably the whole school, or at least the whole tenth grade.

"Mr.Randell, this is Jamie. She's new here." Anthony said to a man standing in front of class. Mr.Randell looked really young. He had brown eyes and brown hair. He was average height for a man which is around six feet.

Anthony gave his pass that the lady in the office, Ms.Zealer, gave to him to Mr.Randell. "Thank you, um... don't tell me. Andy?" Mr.Randell guessed,"No, Anthony."

"Yeah, it's Anthony." Anthony said walking to his seat.

Mr.Randell turned to me and smiled, "May I see your schedule?" I handed him my schedule along with my pass. "Jamie Valentine, welcome to Rosewood High School. I'm Mr.Randell, your lit. teacher. And since you already know Anthony you can take the seat next to him."

Mr.Randell gave me my schedule back and I went to take the seat next to Anthony. "See, it wasn't that bad." He said.

"Maybe not, but people are still looking and talking about me." I said looking around the class. Almost every pair of eyes were on me.

"Relax," Anthony said flashing me his gorgeous smile, "the staring and whispering will die down by next week."

"Next week?" I said wide eyed. So everyone will be focusing on me for the rest of the week. Well, that's great news. Sense the sarcasm.

"Probably longer, unless another new student comes to take over the fame." He said.

I shook my head. "That helped a lot." I said sarcastically.

"Okay, class," Mr.Randell said clapping his hands once to get everyone's attention. "Get into your groups and start the study guide, but finish reading the book if you didn't finish. Jamie, you can join Anthony's group but you're excused from the assignment."
