Why would the principle want me in the office? They never call me to the office, for anything serious that is. The only time they call me to the office is if I have an early dismissal, a phone call, or a message.
I was walking down the hallway when my phone vibrated in my pocket. It was from Maddie. It read:
MADDIE: tell me everything that happens ;)
Maddie is so nosey. She is always in other people's business. She is always gossiping about something to someone. Then that someone tells someone else, and there's a whole chain of gossiping from there.
Although, every time someone passes the gossip they add more to it. So by time the person that everyone is talking about hear the gossip, it is completely different from the truth.
I replied "Ok" to her text. I kept walking down the hallway until I came upon some stairs. I went down them then took a left. I walked down the hallway until I saw a door that had the word "Office" on it.
I walked in and heard low music playing. There were two boys sitting in grey chairs to the left of the room. The big muscular boy was staring at the brown haired boy as if he wanted to strangle him. The brown haired boy was just sitting there on his phone like he wasn't being stared at.
The lady behind the counter at her desk didn't hear me come in. Her blonde hair was in a bun on top of her head. She looked to be about twenty-seven or so. She had grey eyes and tan skin.
I walked up to the counter and said, "Excuse me, the principal said that she wanted to see me."
She looked up at me. "You must be Jamie Valentine." I nodded. "She's waiting for you in her office." She said pointing to the door to the right. It had the words "Principal's Office" on it.
I smiled and told her thank you then went to the door. I knocked on the door and heard Mrs.Millard, the principal, tell me to come in. I opened the door then closed it back after I was in the room. I was a little nervous because I didn't know what I did to get myself called to the office.
There was someone sitting in the chair across from Mrs.Millard's desk, but I wasn't focusing on whoever that is. "Good afternoon." I said.
Mrs.Millard was about thirty-something, almost forty, and didn't look a day over twenty-five. She had long wavy brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. She didn't have a single wrinkle on her face and she had a perfect hourglass figure.
The only thing wrong with her appearance right now was her face expression. She looked worried and sad. "There is someone you should meet." She said gesturing to the person in the chair.
It was a lady about the same age as Mrs.Millard. She had straight blonde hair that went to about her mid back and sparkling blue eyes. She didn't look as young as Mrs.Millard did but she could definitely pass for her early thirties. She was tan and looked as if she's been crying.
She looked oddly familiar, like I've seen her before. Then she stood up and walked over to me and gave me a hug. She squeeze me so tight that I couldn't breathe then she started crying. "Jamie, I missed you so much." She managed to say between sobs.
Who was this lady and how did she know my name? Obviously she thought that I knew her. She pulled away from me and held me by my shoulders so that we were face to face. She looked me all over and said, "Look at how big you've gotten. The last time I saw you you were five."
"The last time I saw you you were five." That sentence flashed through my brain. My eyes shot open. "Aunt Elizabeth?" She smiled. She had perfectly straight white teeth.
"You remember me. I thought for a second you forgot."
"How could I forget you? Ever since I was five, before I blew out my birthday candles, I would wish that my parents would let me see you. I didn't forget you, I just didn't recognize you. We only have one picture of you, Uncle Larry, and your three oldest. And in that picture you had short hair. Now it's all long." I said stroking her hair.
