"Jamie," Aunt Elizabeth called me from the other side of the door. "Justin Anderson is here."

"Okay, I'm almost ready." I told her. It was eight o'clock and I was getting ready for my date with Justin. Double date actually.

I looked at myself in my full body mirror. I was wearing a tight strapless black dress that hugged my figure and was a bit too short for my liking. But Elilah, being her bossy self, made me wear it.

At least it didn't show too much cleavage. That, I was happy for. But I wasn't happy that I had to wear four inch black heels. If I fall and break my neck... let's just hope that doesn't happen.

Elilah curled my hair again. I'm going to have to ask her what she does to make the curls stay in. She also did my make up. When she was done with me, I didn't even recognize myself. I was gorgeous.

She gave me that smoky eye effect that I could never do myself. I would've had myself looking like a raccoon. A raccoon that got punched in the eye. Punched in both eyes. Twenty times.

"You're perfect." Elilah said pushing me towards my room door. "Don't keep him waiting. He just might leave you."

I furrowed my eyebrows but ignored her last statement. "Can you get my purse?" I pointed to my sparkly black hand bag that was laying on my bed.

She grabbed it and handed it to me. As I was leaving Elilah grabbed my wrist and turned me towards her. "Are you sure you don't want to take that locket off? It doesn't go with the dress."

I put my hand over my mom's locket. I've never taken it off since I got it and I'm not about to start now just because it doesn't go with my dress. "I'm sure." I said then turned to go downstairs.

I slowly walked down the stairs. I don't want to break my neck before I even make it to the restaurant.

At the bottom of the stairs, Justin was standing next to Aunt Elizabeth who was holding little baby Elliott. Why do babies have to be so adorable? I just love them. But when they learn to walk and talk it's a whole different story.

When Aunt Elizabeth saw me her smile widened. "Awe, you look gorgeous." She said and gave me a semi hug. "Don't you think so Justin?"

"Y-yeah," he stammered. "She's beautiful. Um, Travis and Gabriella are waiting in the car for us."

Pause.

Did I hear what I thought I heard? Because if I did I might as well fall and break my neck right here. Or better yet I could stick one of my heels right through Gabriella's neck and watch her gag on her own blood.

"Uh, do you mean Gabriella Felix?" Just saying her name makes me want to kill her.

I don't think I'll be able to sit at the same table as her. She'll be less than three feet away from me. I won't be able to stop myself from going gorilla all over her pretty little face if she says something stupid. Let me rephrase that. When she say something stupid.

"Yes, Gabriella is Travis's date." Justin said, "Why? Do you not like her?"

How could he not know? "That's an understatement." I said through clenched teeth. I walked to the front door ready to leave. Lets just get this nightmare over and done with.

Aunt Elizabeth came and gave me another semi hug."I hope you have a good time."

When Gabriella chokes on her salad then I'll have a good time. "Uh ok, thank you." I was unsure of what to say to her awkwardness. I have Elliot a kiss on the forehead.

"Come on, Anderson." I said walking out the door. As soon as the door was closed I turned to Justin. "Why didn't you tell me Travis was bringing her?" I didn't even want to say her name.
