"Come on," Maddie said, "It wasn't even that scary." Maddie was sitting in the middle of the couch with me on her left and Sofie on her right.
We just finished watching "A Nightmare on Elms Street". The one that was filmed in 2010. Maddie and I love horror movies. Sofie isn't very fond of horror movies but she wouldn't mind watching them every once in a while. But Tori and Roni don't like horror movies as much.
"Did you not see what he did to that girl?" asked Tori, "And that guy had to go to jail for something that he didn't do."
Sometime in the middle of the movie Tori and Roni moved off the couch and onto my bed. They sat with their legs crossed and the comforter up to their chin.
My bed was covered in everything except the Twizzlers because Tori and Roni are allergic to them. I remember the first time they ate Twizzlers. We were five and they wanted some of my Twizzlers that my mom bought for me. And five minutes after they ate them their tongues and throat had swollen.
I'm allergic to peanuts, so I couldn't eat any of the Snickers that Sofie bought from the store. I hate being allergic to peanuts because there are so many things I like that has peanuts in them.
"Like I said. It wasn't even that scary." Maddie rolled her eyes. "What time is it?"
We all looked at our wrists but neither of us were wearing a watch. I turned around on the couch to see the alarm clock that was sitting on the night stand to the left of my bed.
It was two thirty-six in the afternoon. "Two thirty-six." I said. The last time I checked it was eight thirty in the morning. Time passes by fast. We finished all five movies and was now sitting here staring into space.
Then I remembered that Jake was still here. "Hey guys, who wants to go scare Jake?"
We all smiled and stood up from where we were sitting. I was the first to leave my room, then Maddie, Sofie, Tori, and last but not least Roni.
We walked quietly down the hallway towards Jake's room. Then all of a sudden I hear a ringing noise. I stopped and turned towards the rest of the girls.
That ringing noise was Tori's phone. We all stared at her. "Hurry up and turn that thing off." Sofie whispered.
Tori pulled her iPhone 5 out of her pocket and silenced it. We all had brand new iPhone 5s. It took a while to convince our parents to get us one. But it was worth it. "It was my dad calling." she whispered, "I'll call him back later."
We started moving down the hallway again. There were a bunch of family pictures on the wall. There was one when I was two years old. Jake wasn't even thought of yet. We were in Montana with Aunt Elizabeth. My mom and dad were standing in the back with Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Larry while my cousins and I were busy throwing rubber balls at each other.
At that time Aunt Elizabeth didn't have all the kids she has today. She only had four children. Three boys and one girl. The oldest boy was four. One of the boys and the girl are twins and was two, just like me in the picture. And the youngest boy in the picture was only one year old.
I don't remember their names. I think the girl name is Elisa, I don't know. My mom stopped taking me to visit them when I was five. I used to beg my mom to take me with her every time she went and she said no every time I asked.
By the time I was eight I stopped asking because I knew she was going to say no. But when she took Jake with her four years ago I was so mad. She said that it was time that he met the rest of our family. I knew that but I was still upset that I couldn't go.
I still can't go visit them. And my mom still didn't tell me why I can't.
"His door is open." Sofie whispered. Somehow she got in front of me.
