Y/N= your name Y/LN= your last name F/N= friend's name
You slowly open your eyes. You are lying on a hospital bed. You see Phil sitting in a chair on the other side of the room. He has his head in his hands.
"Phil," you call out.
"Y/N," he smiles at you. He starts walking towards you. His eyes seem a little pink. He sits on the corner of the bed near your feet. He pokes your foot causing you to laugh.
"What happened?" you mutter.
"Don't you remember anything?" he frowns.
"I think a car hit the taxi that we were in," you mutter trying to remember.
"The doctor should be here soon," he adds. He starts to get up.
"Is my father okay? Did mum, Christopher, and Grace make it to the airport alright?" you ask.
"Your mum, Christopher, and Grace are at the airport. They are still going on their trip. The doctor is going to tell you if your father is okay," Phil tells you.
"They have Maltesers!" Dan laughs coming into the room. He stands next to you eating his Maltesers. You roll your eyes.
"Ms. Y/LN?" a voice says from the door. A lady walks in, "Hello. My name is Dr. Alexandra Hamilton,"
(A/N: My name is Alexander Hamilton and there's a million things I haven't done but just you wait! I'm a musical trash can. Oops)
Phil stands next to you and Dan sits down on the bed. Dr. Hamilton stands on the other side of the bed.
"You didn't get any major injuries. You have a minor concussion and a couple of scratches from the glass. As for your father, we did everything we could but-" Dr. Hamilton starts.
"Don't tell me if he died," you mutter as your eyes start to water. Phil squeezes your hand.
"Ms. Y/LN, your father is in a coma. We don't know if he will come out of the coma," she tells you, "I'm sorry. Do you need anything?"
You shake your head as your start to cry.
"It's going to be okay," Phil whispers as he sits down next to you on the bed. You wrap your trembling arms around him.

"You don't deserve this," Dan sighs dragging a chair over so he can sit near you and Phil

"You don't deserve this," Dan sighs dragging a chair over so he can sit near you and Phil.
"What is my mum going to say when she hears what happened? Christopher! When he finds out he'll be so sad that he might not propose to Grace," you sob.
Dan and Phil look at each other. You can see in their eyes that they are trying to decide on something. Dan nods.
"Y/N, your mum knows about what happened to your father. She isn't going to tell Grace or Christopher. They are still going on their trip," Phil calmly responds.
"Do you want me to check on your father?" Dan asks trying to make you feel better.
You nod. Dan puts the chair back and leaves the room.
"It's going to be okay, Y/N. Your father is a fighter. Martyn told me that he stopped someone who was stealing something from a store. If he can do that, then he can certainly come out of a coma," Phil assures you.
You remember that day very well. You were about nine years old. Christopher and your father had to buy something and you tagged along. You were about to pay when someone started running away with a loaf of bread. Your father had grabbed the man. The newspaper wrote about him. When you went back to school, everyone wanted to talk to you. Naturally, all young children get bored of the same topic after a while. You only had the spotlight for about a day. It had been exciting.
"Maybe I should call my mum so she knows that I'm okay," you suggest.
"I called her before you woke up. She said that the hospital called her. Then she called me and Dan and I came over. You should probably call her so she knows I wasn't lying," Phil tells you. He hands you your phone. Your mum left many texts, emails, and any other way of trying to reach you from your phone. She even sent you a direct message on Instagram.
You dial her number. It goes to voicemail. You decide to leave a message anyways.
"Hi mum. I just wanted to let you know that I'm okay. Just leave me a message when you get this. Don't worry. I saw all of your messages. Dan and Phil are going to take me home when I'm discharged. I'll talk to you later. Have a nice trip!" you say. You hang up and hand your phone back to Phil who puts it on the table next to the bed.
"Do you mind if I sleep?" you mutter. You suddenly felt tired.
"It's fine," Phil smiles at you.

You curl up in his arms and you slowly begin to fall asleep
