“You have to come with me” Your bestie pleaded as you shook your head, kicking strongly against it. “I really have things to do”

“Thats a Lie. You are probably going to order take out and watch Kdramas all night” she huffed as you chuckled. She knew you too well. “Still, I can't go. I'm not a party person and I technically don't have the dresses for the occasion”

She smacked your right arm, trying to glare hard at your lame excuse of not wanting to go with her. “And since when have you seen me wear dresses to those kind of things?” You closed your book to face her. “You are the daughter of A CEO..of course everything you wear will be okay”

“Well I don't care. This is my fifth time asking you to accompany me to a party.. Can't you just come? Afterall, you are my Friend, I have no other person to go with except you” she sighed. “..but its fine, I respect your decision.” she put on a sour face as she adjusted her bed and laid down on her bed as you watched her pull the cover over herself.

It was your turn to sigh while facing her back. She was slightly right. She always accompanied you to places you went to even though she hated most of them but you couldn't do the same for her.. Wasn't this selfishness? You looked at her again and heaved a sigh. Its a party? What could possibly go wrong? You stood up and walked towards her bed.

“Uhm...” you cleared your throat. “....What time does it begin?”

Your bestie smirked. She knew it was going to work. It worked on anyone she did it on. Throwing her devious smirk away, she sat up with A false confused look.

“Are you coming?”

Shrugging, you pocketed your hands into your Shorts.“I don't want my best friend to be mad at me..and I don't want to be selfish”

“Promise?”

You nodded. “Promise”. She folded her arms as she watched your expression before revealing the smirk she had been hiding all along scaring you. Okay.....what exactly was she up to..?

The Mirror was lying right now. You stared at yourself from top to bottom then back at the mirror. Was the girl supposed to be you? She looked nothing like you and she was extremely pretty but you still felt uncomfortable. You looked at your outfit, turning to face your friend who was busy Stuffing her neck with Chains.

“Are you sure.. This gown isn't too short?”

She stared at you for a while before shaking her head. You sighed. She had wanted you to go in this and you didn't agree. You weren't the type that dolled themselves when going to A party, so it was difficult wearing something so uncommon for you.

“Arraseo!” she squealed dropping the red lipstick in her Make up case. “And we are set to go” she said dragging you out and into her car as you two made your way to the hall, her father had purchased for the party but then you realised something important. You had forgotten to ask her why her father was holding a Party..it wasn't his birthday or the daughter's.... Did something good happen?

“Here” she said handing you a mask. “wear it..its a masquerade ball”

“Come here before I drag you into this place myself” she mouthed to you as you obeyed immediately. You weren't going to let her embarrass you on your first day attending an evening party. You stuck to her like glue, so you wouldn't have to get lost but it irritated her more.
