I watched as the boy put Blaise in the room with Aria, Lucifer and me. The council was already there and like me, Blaise was in her pyjamas with her curls falling out of their braids.
“This had better be good.” I heard her mumble. The council waited for her to be quiet.
“As you didn’t know, we ran tests on you all, and watched you at all times,” The council started, causing me to look over at Lucifer and blush. “We have come to a conclusion that because of your youth you deserve a severe warning. Being here, I assume was warning enough. We also have news that to Sapphire may not be sad. Yesterday James, well he, you see he was in the woods and we assume he must have made a fairy or a brownie mad but the far part of the forest was burned to a crisp, with him in it.” It was a shock to hear. I glanced over to Blaise and saw that she looked as confused as I felt. She would have known if there was a fire that big, hell she could probably tell you if, five miles away, there was a candle lit and how long it had been lit for, she was a fire freak that way. “So we have arranged for you to all leave today. You have until noon to pack your things and be on the docks. If you miss this boat you will be here for another month. Also you are to go to a school for creatures; it’s extremely unlike the one you went to before, Sapphire.” He said, I glanced at my watch, it was 9:30. I walked away after a slight hesitation, Aria, Blaise and Lucifer followed me, Aria looked shocked.
“Dantanian left yesterday.” She whispered to me. I assumed he left as soon as he could and that I wouldn’t be seeing him anytime soon. I nodded, Lucifer tried to talk to me but I told him that I had to get packing. I yanked my suitcases out of the closet and Started neatly piling everything in them while Aria lie on her bed reading a book, letting her powers do it for her. I chucked a ball of paper at her. She smiled and kept reading. In minutes she was done where I was still packing my first suitcase as full as it would go. By 11:30 I was finished and I started lugging my bags to the boat. I had three full suitcases and two carry-on bags. I glanced over my shoulder for one last glance at the island, and then went to join Lucifer where he sat in the boat.
I stepped through the doors and in to the enormous castle like school. It was a boarding school for creatures and I had managed to talk Blaise and Aria and Lucifer into coming here with me. After my last experience with boarding schools you would think that I’d be afraid to go back. But I wasn’t afraid, this was a completely different school and I actually liked the principal and teachers. I was almost positive that the students wouldn’t send me off to a council. I was ready to start over and try again. I wasn’t ready to forgive and forget. I was ready to forget. I pushed open the second set of doors and stepped in. The floors were all carpeted and the office was neat and tidy. I walked up to the desk.
“Hello, we’re here to start classes next week but we were told to come and unpack today. My name is Sapphire Smith.” I told her.
“Yes, yes I know who you are, I’d have to be blind and dumb not to.” She said handing us each a map, room keys, and a schedule. “Now you’d better hurry off.” The lady told us. We nodded and went to the hallway. There were signs that pointed us to the dorms. Lucifer had to go to the boys’ side and Blaise, Aria, and I walked through the doors to the girls’ dorm. There was a lounge with black carpet, red walls, and white sofas. There was a huge TV hanging on a wall. There was no one there so I assumed that classes were in session. I peeked into a room and found a kitchen with white floors and yellow walls. All the appliances were silver and the tables were a deep brown wood that matched the chairs. I walked out and looked in to the room beside it. There was a bunch of small tables, big comfy chairs, and every wall was packed full of bookshelves filled as full as they’d go. I walked down the hall and found, instead of doors, more halls. I turned down the first hall with Blaise and Aria at my side. I glanced at my key that had a number on it, 010. I walked to the door with the same number and opened it to find half the room full of neatly organized pictures, make-up, and other stuff. I saw Aria and Blaise open two different doors. From what I saw of Aria’s room, half of it was a mess. Blaise’s room was a mix between mine and Aria’s. What I assumed was my half of the room was bare, there was nothing on the walls and the covers on the bed were piled neatly. I found a note on my pillow.
