If I were to think about it, it would be hysterical. But at the time it was completely serious. The school was pitch-black, and I wore black sneakers, tight black yoga pants, and a black tank-top under a tight black sweater. What I wore was Identical to Aria except for a hat she wore to cover her blonde hair. I crept up behind the receptionist’s office. If I took a step too far, she or the camera would see me. I had a strange urge to hum something along the lines of James Bond. Aria could float, but when she floated she glowed. Change it she mouthed at me, and bit her lip so she wouldn’t laugh. I shook my head. I stepped on to the back of the chair, praying it wouldn’t tip over. How lucky we were that the secretary’s office stuck out as a lower part and had plants on top of it. I reached up and stood on my toes but still couldn’t reach it. I looked back to Aria. I had tried telling her that the simplicity and cliché-ness of the plan wouldn’t work. She motioned for me to try. I nodded. There was a bookshelf full of pamphlets beside the chair I was using. I climbed on to it but it was more tippy then the chair. I pressed myself against the wall to keep from falling. I reached up and found I could get half my fingertips on the top. That was enough for me. I lifted a foot and pressed it against the wall, boosting myself up, but also out. If I had been human it wouldn’t have been possible. I climbed up and motioned for Aria to wait while I checked it out. At that moment of all moments I remembered my earlier encounter with Lucifer. He just stood there, looking sad and broken. I told him I had too and he just ignored me. He just stared at me and then, without saying anything he walked away. He made a dangerous enemy but one that I may have. I shook my head and crept silently across the roof, weaving my way through the jungle of green. I found the camera and unhooked the wires. I flipped over and saw the secretary asleep. I dropped down and made a small thud. Nothing happened so I waved Aria forward. We crept up the office and found the door thankfully unlocked. We had informed Blaise, Molly, Aura, and jade what we were doing and they were coming too. They were packing while we did this. I went in to the room and went straight to the desk. I saw the computer was already on so I wiggled the mouse and the screen popped up. I smiled. So the principal of a big ass boarding school forgets to log off his computer. That’s just sad. I easily got in to the main data base and deleted our names from everywhere I could find them, including documents, reports, attendance, I deleted the registration forms, and everything else I could find. After I was done, I walked to where Aria was. She pushed me back a bit and I was going to shove her before I heard the footsteps. I looked at her and pushed her out of the way. Thank god Zev had taught me to climb a brick wall. I grabbed on to the door frame and then moved up to the bars on the ceiling. It was a tight fit even for me but I wiggled through, trying to keep from making noise. I looked out at the end of the hall and froze as a couple shadows came forward. I pressed myself against the wall. I heard the voice and mentally cursed Jade to hell. She walked forward silently and I dropped right in front of her, putting a hand to her mouth to keep her scream in.
“What the hell jade?” I asked her.
“I came to tell you that we’ll be at the fairy circle so don’t waste time finding us.” She said, she was obviously nervous and not telling me something.
“What’s wrong?” I asked her.
“It’s nothing; just the last people who tried sneaking out were punished by death.” She told me then ran away, back to the dorms. I looked up and prayed we wouldn’t get caught. I waved Aria forward. She ran up to me and I heard her voice in my head.
‘Who was that?’ she asked. I sent back to her, using my mind,
‘It was Jade, she was telling us where she was going to be and also that the last group of people to try and escape were punished by death and, oh shit!’ I said and my face paled. I looked at Aria with wide eyes.
