Day 12 Part 1
Liam's POV
I was woken to my phone ringing at full volume at two in the morning, I groaned into my pillow and then rolled over to the bedside table to answer my blaring phone.
"Hello?" I mumbled.
"Liam," the person on the other line breathed, "It's Allie." She almost whispered.
I flicked on the small lamp and sat up, leaning against my backboard.
"What are you doing up at two in the fucking morning Al." I murmured.
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't sleep, I just want to sleep but I can't." she rambled.
"What's going on?" I asked a little considered.
"I got a cat today, well Niall and Landon bought me a cat because they think I need some company, I love cats but I don't want a cat, not right now. And sleep isn't even an option right now, I can't wake up Niall because he stays up every single night until I am asleep and you know how long that takes sometimes, he's finally sleeping in his own bed and he deserves a good night of sleep too. I am so sorry I shouldn't be bothering you this earlier in the morning" She said quickly.
"Allie, slow down. I don't mind one bit, I am glad that you did call."
I meant what I said, I didn't mind because I have been keeping a huge secret from Allie since I met her. My mother had me at a very young age; she was practically still a kid when she had me. When I came to the world she couldn't handle being a teen mom, her boyfriend at the time wanted nothing to do with her or me for a matter a fact, on top of that she was still trying to figure out her own life and she just wasn't able to raise me. So her mother raised me until I was five but when I turned five I got sent off to some fancy boarding school in England, I literally thought I was going to Hogwarts and I was going to learn how to fly a broom and learn magic spells, obviously it didn't turn out to be Hogwarts. I was to go to this school until I was 18 and graduated and I did. I made a lot of friends, but they were more like family to me. When I was 22 I finally decided I wanted to get back into contact with my mother. She seemed like she figured out her life, she finished collage, gotten married and had two children. A girl named Allison and a boy named Finn. Of course when I found out about the two other children I got furious, about the fact that she raised two more children but couldn't raise me. After I cooled down I told her I wanted to meet them and her new husband. She said I could but it wasn't possible at the moment because Allison was being difficult, so she said when they had her under control again she would let me know. Some point during the year I met Niall, at a football match if I remember correctly. He became one of my really good friends and after hanging out with just him for a while he decided he wanted me too meet his friend, he said I would fit in perfectly. That's where I got introduced to Allie.
She greeted me with "Hi! I'm Allison Brington but everyone calls me Allie or Al, welcome to the group mate."
And in that moment I knew. But I couldn't just blurt,
"It's nice to meet you Allie! By the way I'm your older brother!"
So instead I befriended her and got close to her. She always spilled everything to me because she claim's I am the one with the best advice and I apparently always have a solution to every problem. I asked her once about her family life and she spilled all the awful things "our" mother had put her though. It made me feel like I got lucky not to be raised by her, but I felt terrible that Allie had to go though all of that. I knew I couldn't change her childhood so I promised myself I would look after her and always be by her side. And one day I would tell her.
