Day 13/Part 1
Allie's POV
The hospital was quite, there were a few people waiting nervously to hear news about there loved ones, they all look exhausted, as if they just wanted to close there eyes and sleep but they knew they couldn't because they had to make sure the person they love is okay. I walked over to the receptionist desk, the women working the night shift looked tired as well, she had bags under her eyes that were very noticeable and she had an extra large coffee standing beside the keyboard, the other thing that stood out other than her bags, was her perfectly French braided hair, still tight in place.
"Good morning" I said softly, trying to get her attention.
Her eyes gleamed up to me, shinning a little because of the bright computer screen.
"Good morning, how can I help you?" she asked, I could sense the tiredness in her voice.
"I got a phone call from Doctor Carson around an hour and a half ago regarding Harry Styles, he told me to come in as soon as I could so here I am" I informed her.
"Okay, let me check up on that. We're low on staff this shift so it might take me a few minutes to find out all the information, you can go ahead and take a seat in the waiting room and I will come back to get you after I have spoke with the doctors, you can also take a coffee if you'd like, you look like you need one as well." She said with a warm smile, pointing to the coffee cart standing against the wall.
"I really could use one, thank you." I said giving her a small smile, and just like that her eyes were glued back to the computer screen, her fingers typing at an incredibly fast speed.
I made my way over to the coffee cart and poured myself a large coffee in a paper cup with a little sip of milk and two small packets of brown sugar, I stood for a moment lost in my own thoughts while stirring my coffee with a wooden stir stick, until I heard the speaker announcements go on.
"Doctor Carson please make your way to room 213, Doctor Carson please make your way to room 213" a female voice spoke.
I threw the stick into the garbage and searched the room for a seat, I ended up sitting beside an older woman, she as well had bags underneath her eyes, but her skin was pale, as if she'd seen a ghost. I took a large sip of my coffee, and then sat it down on the coffee table. I pulled my small sky blue backpack up onto my knees and took my phone out to check my missed messages.
From: Payne in the arse
"Al, I am sorry for pushing you, please call me later. I need to know if you're okay."
From: Irish kid
"AL I can't sleep anymore :-( I picked up were we left off in pretty little liars, Spencer got arrested and someone fucking killed Mona! It's insane.. Love you!!!"
From: Louis
"Hey, I heard something happened with Harry, do you know anything? Is he okay? I am going to come stop by later if you don't mind."
The only text I thought was important enough to answer was Louis's, I felt bad enough for lashing out at Liam and I honestly just didn't want to get to into that right now, and Niall was just a little brat who I am most certainty going to wack over the head later for giving that away.
"Morning Lou, I am still waiting. Haven't heard anything yet, all I know is they had to take him back to surgery because he had a brain bleed and they don't know if they got it in time or not. To be honest Lou, I am terrified and even my coffee isn't stopping my shaking. Mind coming now, I don't want to hear what they have to say all alone." My eyes watered at the text I sent.
