DAY 4/PART 1

The weather had changed drastically over night; it went from cloudy and windy to sunny but frosty. I decided to dress warmer than usual because I am always under estimating the weather and constantly underdressing. I wore leggings with my brown boots and my tan coloured parka, it was around 9:40 and I was patiently waiting for Lou, he had called me last night saying that we were going to go for a late breakfast so he told me not to eat anything. I decided to let Niall sleep in today since he's been up early every morning with me and he deserves some good sleep. I was watching yesterday's episode of D.Phil., called "The Curliest couples" and my phone buzzed.

"Didn't know if Niall was sleeping so I thought I would just text you when I was there, 2 mins away :-)"

"Ill wait outside, hope you have the heat turned up"

"Of course I do, ill see you shortly."

Honestly it was weird, I have never been close with Louis, lets just says he's never been my number one fan. The only times I ever really saw him was when he came over to work on something with Harry or at social events. In the beginning of mine and Harrys relationship he really didn't like me but he's eased up a little since then but still I don't think I've ever been alone with him before expect the one time he came to see Harry and Harry wasn't there, so this was new to me. I saw him roll up in his black range rover. I opened the door and hoped in,

"Good morning Lou"

"Morning Allie, how are you today?"

"I am aright thanks, I mean could be better but alright. You?"

"Well it's a beautiful day and I know were going to have a good breakfast so I am good" he said with a shy smile.

"I am looking forward to it, are we still stopping by to see Harry after"

"Of course we are, were I am taking you isn't far from the hospital so well just park at the café and walk though the park to get there if that's okay with you?"

"Completely perfect"

We didn't say much for the rest of the car ride, the radio hummed softly and Louis always kept an extremely close eye on the road, we pulled up to a small old looking café, it was a white painted building but the paint had a vintage look to it, small black metal tables and chairs stood outside and winter flowers were on the window board. We walked inside and it was completely beautiful, the floor was a dark wooden colour and it matched the counter, all around the café were pots with flowers or just random plants in them, it was something different.

"Trust me you'll love the food. The best is the raspberry waffles with homemade hash browns"

"Then I guess I will go with that, I am trusting you."

I ended up with the homemade raspberry waffles, homemade hash browns and a cup of black coffee. Lou with blueberry French toast, the hash browns and an espresso. I must admit the food was delicious, probably the best waffles I've had in a really long time, along with the really comfortable environment it was the perfect breakfast.

"Louis how did you find this place, its amazing" I said taking the last sip of my coffee.

"I told you it was good. And I don't know sometimes I go out and I stumble into little cafes instead of the ones that everyone knows" he said shrugging his shoulders.

"Well you should take me more often to your secret spots because this was well needed and so good"

"Will do Allie, I'll pay the bills and then we can get going if you like, do you maybe want to stop and get some flowers on the way?"

"Hey no, I'll pay Lou. And yes please."

"Fine but only this time, I got the next tab. There's a nice small flower shop down the street. We can just stop there and then make our way"

I paid the tab and put my jacket back on and then we were out of the door, the flower shop was just around the corner. Lou waited outside to take a smoke and I went in. I had no idea what kind of flowers to get. I never buy flowers because they always die, like I said before I stick with cacti. I looked around looking for the perfect flowers but none of them were catching my eye.

"Good afternoon Ma'am can I help you find anything in particular?" women said to me.

"Do you have cacti?" I asked

"Yes we do, here in this corner we have a large selection of cacti" she said smiling.

"Thank you."

I picked out a small one in a baby blue pot. Everyone brought flowers so I was going to put cacti in his room; I paid for the baby cacti and walked out.

"I thought you were getting flowers," Louis said inhaling his last bit of cigarette.

"Everyone buys flowers, in this case if he wakes up and I'm not there my cacti will be sitting there around all the dead flowers and he'll know it's from me"

We started walking though the park, it was starting to get colder already. My face hurt because of the cool wind hitting it. Louis broke the silence,

"You know, he called me before he was going to get ready, he was going off about how he was going to get a surprises from you, I'm curious to know what was it?"

"Lou it's so stupid"

"Oh come on spill, I wont tell"

"Niall's roof is flat and in the summer I wanted a small green house for my cacti so that they would grow faster, so I had this idea one night, I've been up there one time when it snowed and because its clear it looks really cool being in there. And because its empty and clean during the winter I thought taking Harry up there after midnight would be nice. So I filled it with blankets and pillows and fairy lights and a heater, and I just wanted to take him up there and hear nothing but fire works going off and watch the snow fall. It's literally the dumbest and corniest thing I've ever thought of."

"I don't think its stupid I think its cute, but really? Just watching the snow fall..?"

"Louis!" I said pushing him a little.

"Everyone knew what you guys were going to do"

"Yeah well we didn't quite get to that."

"I know Allie and I am sorry but maybe this will make you feel a little better in some way. Obviously you and I weren't on the best terms before because well I was an ass to you because I thought you would be just like the others and I just wanted him to be happy, and I wanted someone to love and take care of him. And every other relationship just never worked out and after a few months he would mope around because he was so tired of trying to find the right girl. And then you came along and you changed all of that, and at first I didn't see it but then months went by and you two were still together and he always had a smile on his face because he fell in love with you and he was so happy, you make him so happy you have no idea. He could sit and talk hours about you and that makes me glad. And I hope you know how much I appreciate that, thank you for making my best friend so incredibly happy."

I stopped dead in my tracks, I kept breaking. I couldn't stop it from happening. My breathing got short and I knew exactly were this was heading,

"Allie?" Louis said grabbing me by the arms.

"Lou-Louis I need to sit down now."

"Allie Jesus fuck what did I do" he said in a panic.

"Lou. Stop panicking, that's going to make it worse. Just give me your water." I said quickly and almost yelling

I sat down on the park bench and took a long sip of the water. I pulled my knees to my chest and buried my face in them. I still couldn't get my breathing under control, and now I was crying on top of that.

I personally am not the biggest fan of this chapter, part 2 will be up tomorrow, hopefully. Again I do promise after a few more chapters something big will happen. Thank you for reading. A.
