Forever Lost

STARFIRE

I awoke the next morning in someone else's arms. Their arms engulfed my body tightly as if I would float away if they let go. Then I remembered. Last night. My eyes flicked down to see Robin's face below my chin and I gasped when I realized that I had no clothes on. I also gasped when I saw that Robin no longer wore his mask. His face seemed at peace as I watched him sleep. His eyes were shut and his mouth was partly open as light snores escaped. I didn't want to wake him up so I attempted to quietly slip out of his grip but it tightened.
"Star? Are you ok?"
That's when I remembered what happened last night. It was amazing, he was amazing. My fingers rushed to my lips as memories flooded my mind. It was as though I could feel the actions we performed last night all over again. I could feel his hands lightly brushing all over my body, I could hear the sweet compliments he whispered in my ears every few minutes. My cheeks immediately blushed a light pink. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and attempted to stand but my knees gave out and I yelped as a sharp pain traveled from my pelvis to my legs. Robin was there in an instant and caught my elbows before I could collide with the hard floor. He let out a small laugh and pulled me back on to the bed. My cheeks became a darker shade of pink as I realized that I was sore. Robin lovingly grabbed my chin to turn my face to his. That's when I noticed his eyes. Icy blue orbs stared into my green eyes and my mouth fell open in shock. I couldn't help but place my hand on his cheek as he supported my weight on one arm and used the other to prop himself up.  

"Robin, your eyes are so pretty." His cheeks flushed and he leaned into my hand with a smile. "So are yours." He smiled and pushed a stray hair away from my face. I closed my eyes in pleasure and cuddled into his bare chest. Something poked my thigh and I gasped before lifting the covers. As soon as I realized what it was, I placed the covers back down and Robin laughed at me. I decided to ignore it and let my fingers trace the outline of his muscles. I felt the muscles twitch beneath my touch and smiled when he leaned down and placed a kiss on my forehead. I wish everyday could be this wonderful and relaxed. Sometimes being heroes got old. Sometimes I just wanted to be normal, even though I could never be considered normal on this planet. It would be nice to have one whole week without villains trying to corrupt and ruin society. Robin looked at me and I didn't realize that I had zoned out. 

"What are you thinking about Star?" His fingers stroked my cheek and I sighed in comfort. "Well, I was just imagining what life would be like if it were this calm and peaceful more often." His eyes softened in understanding. "Me too." He gave me a small smile and we just lay in bed together for another ten minutes before we decided to go get breakfast. Robin put his mask on and gelled his hair back while I dressed in my clothes from yesterday. He was looking in the mirror but I could tell he was watching me as I dressed. My cheeks flushed and I brought him a pair of the jeans and t-shirt. Luckily he already had his undergarments on. "Thanks." He flashed me his charismatic and confident smile before I left him in the room. As I shut the door behind me, I ran into Raven. Her hood was down and she had her face buried in a book.

"Well hello there Starfire."
"Oh um hi friend Raven." She looked back and forth from me to Robin's door and lifted an eyebrow. I just ignored it and flashed an innocent smile before rushing to the kitchen. Beastboy and Cyborg were on the couch playing the video game I received as my gift yesterday. I couldn't help but smile as I placed a waffle in the toaster and ate an apple while I waited. I couldn't help but hum a small tune as I waited for my pastry to cook. Soon, the wonderful smell of crispy bread filled my nose and I made a small yelp when my waffle popped from the toaster. It only took me a minute to grab myself a plate and sit down to eat. As I was chewing my third bite, Robin emerged from his room and walked over to me. I swallowed before giving him a small smile. He returned my gesture with a nod and made himself a protein shake before sitting next to me. The others were invested in their own activities and by now I was finished with my waffle. Robin was still drinking his shake so I decided to wait for him to finish. He reached one hand beneath the counter and set it on my thigh where his fingers gently rubbed circles into my bare skin. I was lost in his touch when a loud alarm made me jump from my seat. Robin discarded his shake before grabbing my hand and following the others to our map. A red X marked the spot of terror and it was immediately identified as the Hive. "Ugh, them again?" We ignored Beastboy's remark and made our way to the elevator. It took ten minutes for us to reach the group and they weren't surprised by our arrival.
"Ah, the Titans, right on time!" I rolled my eyes at Gizmo and tried not to laugh. "The Hive. I'll give you one chance to return the money you stole." Mammoth let out a hearty laugh and Billy Numerous let himself split to surround us. My powers immediately illuminated and I felt the familiar heat as my eyes turned bright green. "Titans go!"
In a split second I was attacking Mammoth. With one blast of my starbolt, he was flying into a building across the street. The few civilians that had gathered were now running in fear as they realized what was happening. I only had a second to hover before a strong arm threw me to the ground. A puff of air flew from my lips and I heard the ground crack beneath the force of my body. Mammoth was now on top of me and I writhed beneath his grip as he raised an arm to punch me. As soon as it started to move, I shot him back with my eyes and slowly stood back up. A yell for help grasped my attention as I looked for the victim and I couldn't help but gasp as I saw the person. "Sullivan!"
I flew towards his hanging body as fast as I could, but I wasn't fast enough as he slipped from the building window. He was falling towards the ground and I made it just in time to catch him from his certain death. He was silent as he stared up at me as I flew him a few blocks away from the battle. His eyes were wide in shock and I made sure to set him down slowly.
